Go for it. Check how Florida will be at that time. It's open but masked.

I have family there right now. They said there’s not many people there at all, and they haven’t had to wait in line for a single ride!

I looked into this pre-pandemic. It seems like they have great perks for honeymoons! Hopefully when you plan to go there will be minimal restrictions.

We Disneymooned Smiley smile It was *amazing*!

We went for 7 nights/8 days

We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter - it's (obviously) New Orleans themed which made total sense for our relationship, because that's where we started dating and where we got engaged. It has a relaxed feel, and was very quiet (and we had a corner room overlooking the pool, so it's definitely well insulated lol). It isn't open yet, though (and doesn't have an opening dat yet). When we go this coming September/October for the 50th, we're staying at Beach Club. First tip - add that you're honeymooning to your hotel reservation. It ends up on your Fastpasses (if they're available then) as well and whenever you use your Magic Band it shows up.

Get the meal plan - it can save you a lot of money if you like to eat lol - we usually get the middle tier - one sit down credit, one quick service credit, and two snacks per night (so for 7 nights/8 days we had (each) 7 sit down credits, 7 quick service credits, and 14 snack credits) - plus you get a resort-refillable mug (which we used for coffee in the morning and soda if we wanted some when we got back). Snack credits are great for breakfasts unless you want a big breakfast. You have to add your honeymoon to dining reservations separately - I don't know why, but you have to call. Assuming it's available when you go.

The first and last days were 1/2 days because of flights, so we avoided reservations those days and just did Fastpasses.

When we arrived we went to the concierge and got our Happily Ever After buttons. Second tip - GET THE BUTTONS and wear them! Cast Members (and other guests - we had several conversations with long-married couples, it was awesome) will tell you congratulations and between the buttons and your Magic Bands you sometimes get free stuff - I'll tell you what we ended up with at the end. Honestly, the last day we were there it was weird, because we put our buttons in our luggage, and no one congratulated us lol.

We made dining reservations at: Le Cellier (EPCOT, 2 credits), Cinderella's Royal Table (MK, 2 credits), San Angel Inn Restaurante (EPCOT, 1 credit), Flying Fish (Boardwalk area, 2 credits), Yak & Yeti (AK, 1 credit), 50s Prime Time (HS, 1 credit), and Hollywood Brown Derby (HS, 2 credits). (I don't recommend Yak & Yeti - it was good, but nothing special.)

We had two sit down dinners in HS because we were gifted the Fantasmic dinner package - dinner at one of three restaurants (the high end choice is HBD) and special seating for the show - SO COOL. But, I really wanted to go to 50s Prime Time (they definitely treat you like family - our server ("cousin") was all "why wasn't I invited to the wedding") - it was fun and the food is good!

Get a Memory Maker - you'll be able to download all of your photo pass and ride photos - completely worth it!

So. Cast Members are allowed to give away things to people who are celebrating (when we were there in February 2019 for my Mom's birthday, someone gave me an ice cream, because I was celebrating *her* birthday). Don't expect things - people who do, tend not to end up with things - just an observation. We got: a cheese stuffed Mickey pretzel, a churro, glasses of champagne at Le Cellier, seats at Be Our Guest for lunch (they were telling people they didn't have seats until 3, and let us right in), an extra half dessert and champagne at Flying Fish, champagne at HBD - and I'm sure there are things I've forgotten. Back to the observation about people expecting things - there was a couple in Flying Fish about the same time we were, who pulled wedding ears out of their bag and set them on the table instead of wearing them, weren't wearing the buttons, etc. - they were obviously expecting a magical moment - they got nothing.

Get wedding ears! We wore ours only one day - that day we got audience participation at Monsters Inc Laugh Floor - it was cool.

My name twin actually covered a lot.

We did not find the meal plan to be cost effective for us, I think that's a comparison best made for each couple.

We did 3 days at Disney Parks and 2 at Universal. However, Universal is very roller coaster heavy, and next time we go down there, we might only do one day, if at all. I'd rather spend 2 days at Epcot - you can't do it all in one day!

Make dinner reservations early - we didn't get a chance to do that, due to when we booked the honeymoon, so they just didn't have openings.

Next time we go, we also might build in a "rest" day, for swimming or whatever, though we went in January, which was also one of the coldest weeks FL had ever seen... so... keep your season in mind!

When picking which parks, and when, look to see if anything new has opened, and maybe avoid that park - it will have the biggest crowds (we didn't do Hollywood Studios, because Star Wars had just opened).

Don't try and do everything - it's not possible and will make you miserable. Plan ahead on the stuff you really want to do, Fast Pass that, and let the rest of the things be more spontaneous.

DH has discovered a YouTube series called "Disney Food Blog" and they have a lot of good tips and insider info. Check that out, too.

Forget AJ - check out Molly on All Ears! Her videos are longer and less repetitive (and we feel like she's friendlier)
