Honeymoons though AAA?

Abbie, on June 7, 2014 at 1:03 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

Has anyone booked there honeymoon through AAA's travel agency? specifically to Hawaii? do they have all inclusive packages? and if you did book it through them what exactly did you get in your all inclusive package and for how much? I need to start planning and have no idea where to start.

We booked out cruise through them, they take all the hassle out of planning and answer any questions. The price we paid was the same as the price if we booked through the cruise line's website but we got a travel agent to figure everything out for us. I recommend it for the convenience, though I don't know anything about Hawaii packages. If I were you I would go just talk to one of the agents, you can always change your mind if you don't like what you hear Smiley smile

It's been a few years, but we did. Our package was a 2-Island hopper (Maui and the Big Island). Breakfast was the only meal included along with a car rental.

    Hi!

AAA can book your Hawaii package, as can any travel agent. I would look for someone who is a Hawaii specialist, who lives, breathes and loves Hawaii. Most of the travel agents at AAA are generalists, who do all destinations. Nothing wrong with that, but just be aware. They are good people and a good company - I started my career with them and enjoyed working for them a lot.

As far as Hawaii, there are no all-inclusives like Sandals in Hawaii. There are US laws and taxes that make it prohibitive. BUT, it is really easy and fun to eat in Hawaii and some of the best new restaurants and hottest young chefs are building the food and wine scene in Hawaii. You can get a great meal out of a food truck for lunch and eat at a world-class restaurant with a famous chef for dinner. That is what I love about Hawaii! We eat like royalty out of the grocery store!

It is a 5 1/2 hour flight from the West Coast to Hawaii. If you want seclusion, quiet and an active adventure trip, choose Kauai. If you want glitz and glamour and country club lifestyle, choose Maui or Honolulu. If you want to go back to old Hawaii and nature experience, choose Hawaii Island (formerly Big Island). You can combine any of them with luxury hotels to very lovely Hawaii hotels. Flights between islands are about 1 hour.

    Hope that helps!

I live in Honolulu (on Oahu) and I've been to Maui and the Big Island and am going to Kauai in a month. If you have any questions about Hawaii feel free to connect with me or message on here!

I didn't see any all inclusive packages for Hawaii when I looked. I don't think it's an option at any Hawaii hotels. I didn't use aaa to book my hotel for me, but I picked my hotel and got a deal on it because they offered a AAA discount.
