Which spelling are you using on your invitations? I've been told that if the wedding is formal to use the old English spelling

    I used "honour" in our invites. That's the way it was spelled on the site so we went with it

    Honour/favour is for a church ceremony (or Canadian, or British), honor/favor are typically for secular weddings. Typically "the honour of your presence" is for the ceremony and "the favour" is for your reception cards. However, as long as the two words match in spelling, it doesn't much matter anymore (at least in the states).

    I'm marrying a half-Canadian, he made me change it to honour. Smiley smile

    We used Honour on our invities. My sister kept telling me I was spelling it wrong but I looked at many websites for invites and all said honour.
