My father passed away in a motorcycle accident 9 years ago. It has been hard planning around certain things (my Mom is walking me down the isle and I am doing a Mother-Daughter dance with her) but I know he would be proud.

Aside from having the officiant mention something during the ceremony, what are other ways to honor my father?

I went to a wedding where both the bride and groom had lost their mothers. They both placed roses on empty chairs when they came down the aisle.

My Dad passed away 13 years ago. My Mom will be carrying one of my favorite pictures of me as a baby with my Dad making a funny face as she walks me down the aisle. At the reception we will have a picture of him and I dancing along with notes he wrote me and his picture on the table where my Mom is sitting. For the dance, we are thinking Mom and I will start dancing to the Elvis song Dad and I would have danced too, then we will switch to a faster Elvis song and my brothers will come out and dance with us!
