Hostess gifts

Elizabeth, on August 22, 2019 at 4:10 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 10
My sister (and MOH) is hosting our couples shower in her home. A few of my bridesmaids, I believe will be contributing something (side dish/ dessert/champagne etc). Should I plan to give each person a hostess gift or just my sister as she is technically the hostess.

I want to make sure I thank my ladies appropriately without skipping over anyone.

In addition, what wound you consider a thoughtful and useful hostess gift?

thanks😀

I'd write a thank you note to each bridesmaid & your sister. I'd gift your sister a nice hostess gift, then ask her who all is contributing and give them smaller gifts. I think any gift & a thank you card is nice for everyone even if they just bring champagne! Target sells these cute socks that say "be there in a prosecco" with wine glasses all over them, or a nice chapstick or lip balm, or a bottle of wine, etc. anything!

Yes, you should get each of them something because they are each hosting your party. Some ideas include a bottle of their favorite wine, really nice candles, hand lotions, or gourmet chocolates. We had a couples shower too and my 3 bridesmaids threw it for us and my MIL hosted it at her house. The theme was "wine country picnic" (we got married in Sonoma) so I gave each person a wicker picnic basket filled with their favorite wine, sparkling water, gourmet chocolates, and cheese and crackers.

My MOH is hosting & paying for my shower - which is a lunch. I got her custom design wine glasses & an ani & Alex MOH bracelet. My bridesmaids are helping, with admittedly smaller roles & little to no financial contribution I bought them body scrub & a tag that says from my shower to yours.

I got my aunt (had my shower at her house) and bridesmaids who helped plan and brought things something. I just got them some chocolate, a candle and a fun thank you card!

My MOH is hosting my bridal shower and two of my bridesmaids are helping her with the cost. I plan on getting them all a gift. I was thinking shower/body items like bath bombs, sugar scrub cubes, body lotion, etc. for a theme of "from my shower to yours."

These are great ideas!! I may do a “from my shower to yours” fall theme from bath and body... my theme is “fall in love” with pretty fall elements of burgundy, plum, and black. Maybe I’ll do a fall candle, bath bombs and body wash. Thanks for the ideas ladies!!

My friend has custom gift tag stamps made from an Etsy shop . It had TO: and FROM: on the stamp. And on the FROM part, it was customized for each girls name.
