Hot Air Balloon Centerpieces

Desireecox, on January 12, 2016 at 12:36 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

Hey everyone! So I am sure anyone who has been on pinterest has seen the hot air balloon centerpieces. And I would love to have them for my wedding! My FH asked me to marry him in a hot air balloon during the color changes of fall in Michigan! So I thought this would be perfect for us, the problem is i cannot DIY to save my life. If anyone knows where I can find good quality centerpieces that would help so much since I have had no luck at all!

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I just went on Pinterest ... those are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I like the ones that use actual helium balloons. Less stuff keeping the "balloon" part in the air so the whole piece looks cleaner. Maybe a small local florist would be willing to make them.

What a cool way to incorporate your engagement into your wedding.

I just noticed the first picture isn't an actual balloon and i kind of like that. It looks like a paper lantern held up with sticks of some sort.

Omg amazing! And that is so sweet how it ties into the proposal! I agree with @Kathleen, you can probably ask your florist if they are able to make that happen. Or are you having a wedding planner? They may be able to help as well! Good lock and awesome idea! Smiley smile

I think theknot.com has some hot air balloon items for sale...not sure if they have centerpieces though.

I love this idea! The first pic that @Glam0rous posted is perfect. Unfortunately, I don't have any vendor suggestions...do you have any friends who are really good at DIY that could help you make them?

I meet with two florists next week so I am going to see if they can do it, or if I can find somewhere to even buy the netting to go around the balloon so I can just buy the baskets then to attach, thank you everyone for the help

I think they're super cute, but my only concern would be how do you keep them from popping?

I actually looked into these for my wedding originally. Especially with the first picture LCya posted. My only worry was I couldn't figure out a way to do it without the balloons because balloon centerpieces don't scream wedding to me. But the idea with a paper lantern like those above would be a cute touch!

My aunt DIY for a baby shower & I LOVED them!! A super round helium balloon with any sort of rope matching your theme (fish netting, hemp, thin white ribbon, etc) over the top a few times, tied to any basket. Fill with flowers or even you can fill each tables basket with your favors to take! (Just add vase stones or gems to the bottom so it doesn't float away when the favors are gone!)
