Hot Chocolate bombs/sticks wedding favors

Brianne, on September 21, 2021 at 7:54 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 3

I've been brainstorming some ideas for wedding favors that are affordable and where I won't have so much leftover and I got to thinking....Hot chocolate bombs/sticks!

Our wedding will be in December and was thinking about what we can give guests to enjoy while they wait for any last-minute photos and we got to thinking about making those. It's cold, and when it's cold, people like to drink hot chocolate! AND if there is a LOT left over, I know of a certain bride who just LOVES hot chocolate Smiley winking

Though, concern from friends is saying that they might melt or will have to be kept in the fridge for a LONG amount of time. Also, suggestions to make Hot Chocolate ornaments might be better.

I am SLIGHTLY against the ornaments because they really wouldn't fit with the theme of my wedding. Yes, the wedding is in December, BUT it's a constellation theme. If it was a Christmas or Winter theme, I could see us doing that, but after having to compete for my birthday between two holidays (my birthday is New Year's Eve) I don't really want any Christmas-themed stuff in my wedding.

So, my main question(s) is for those who had made or used Hot Chocolate bombs/Sticks,

How did you store them?

How long can they be on a table before melting?

Any other advice you can give for using those as favors?

As long as they’re refrigerated and brought out during dinner or later in the event they won’t melt. Especially in December even with the heat it would take a little while before it actually melts.

Freeze a couple cookie sheets and then set the bombs on them.

I agree with Clarissa - they should be fine!!

My mom loves to give these out for holiday occasions and I've never had mine melt!
