Hotel Bag Size

nolalishak, on May 2, 2017 at 4:56 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 14

Hey all-

Just wondering how big or small you went with you hotel welcome bags. Photos and content lists would be helpful if you got 'em!

Didn't do them. I got one a few years before our wedding and barely used anything in it. I threw out what was left, rather than pack it in my suitcase.

Our venue was a full-service hotel. The rooms supplied a phenomenal amount of supplies for guests, plus a fully-stocked honor fridge.

I'm planning to do them, but keeping it simple. Water, snacks, ibuprofen, mints, schedule, and map.

I was against them but my parents insisted on them. Here is a picture. The size is a standard gift bag bought off of Amazon Prime.

-the person's favorite liquor (beer, wine, Jack, Absolut, etc.)

    -Chocolate chip cookies

    -Gummi Bears

    -Italian amaretto cookies

    -something else I don't remember.

FMIL is handling this completely because I didn't really care about them and it makes her happy.

I don't know what size gift bags were purchased. But the contents include: 2 bottles of water, and the following from places local to where we are getting married: bag of chips, chocolate bar, root beer, and cookies made by FMIL (she makes sugar cookies that seriously look and taste better than most professional places).

And the agenda for the weekend, which is really the most important thing.

We used the 8x10 bags. Each has two bottles of water, two travel packs of Advil, one set of ear plugs, tissues, a mini pack of gum, and some snacks (2 granola bars, 4 fun size candy bars, 2 mini bags of pretzels).

Most importantly, each bag has an insert with our ceremony time and address as well as parking info, and the info of local places to eat/drink, park, and grab take-out. These were all things we desperately searched for when we attended past weddings, so it should be helpful to our OOT guests!

I'm thinking of using the dollar tree plain color gift bags. There is a lot of options right now because of graduations. Inside I'm thinking of doing Advil, chips, water bottles, Gatorade, tissues, gum and itinerary of shuttle bus and morning brunch.
