Hotel block question

on January 23, 2020 at 12:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 14
Hello, I was wondering what day everyone was blocking their hotel rooms for. The day of the wedding or the day before.

Our ceremony start time is 4:00pm it’s on a Saturday.

Thanks!

You should definitely do the night of the wedding, but if you wanted to do both, that would be great.

    Depends on your crowd.

My wedding is 4:30 on a Saturday and I think most will stay Friday and Saturday night. I blocked 25 rooms for Friday & Saturday and 5 rooms for Thursday night (family coming in for extended time).

If you think more people would stay Saturday night you can block more for that night.

I would do the day before the wedding and of the wedding. Just in case anyone is traveling and wants to arrive the day before.

Our venue was a hotel and they automatically blocked off Friday and Saturday nights.

Our wedding is at 3pm. Our block is for the night before and the night of the wedding. Guests have the option of picking one night or both! We have a courtesy block of 20 rooms.

Our wedding is on a Saturday and we have our block from Thursday until Sunday. We have a lot of people coming in from out of town and a large welcome/rehearsal dinner on Friday. Most people are staying at least 2 nights.
Usually the hotel will give you a date range and you don’t have to choose one date only.

As a guest I always prefer to get into town the night before the wedding. So I would do the day before and day of.

We had a DW so we booked the night before and the night of but we also held a few rooms for two nights before because we knew we had some people coming in early.

Our wedding is a Saturday and our hotel block is Thursday to Sunday. I figured really only my parents would be coming in Thursday night but we have a good number of guests coming in Thursday night actually. We live in Nashville so they're making more of a vacation out of it.

I did the day before the wedding and the day of. I did make sure to talk to hotels about if people didn’t book both days and there was no issues. I wanted to check that I wouldn’t be on the hook if the rooms weren’t filled the day before

We had a Saturday evening wedding and we blocked the day of, but guests were able to add on days for the same rate without a problem.

We did friday, saturday and sunday. It's a saturday wedding but ours did a complimentary room book which means if they use the code they save money if they dont we are not liable.
