Hotel reception cost?

Rebecca, on April 24, 2018 at 11:57 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
Hello! We are trying to plan our wedding for April 2019 our budget is $8,000 to $10,000 for everything. Unfortunately, the area around us doesn't have a lot of venue options for reception or ceremony. I was curious how much people were spending for their reception at a hotel. If you could give me the name of the hotel and an estimate per person for the cost? I saw a few that hotels that had a basic package of $100 per guest and that's out of our budget. Help a bride out!

I'm getting married at my mother in-laws house. Venues are expensive so we thought instead of giving that money away we will invest in one of our parents yards and beautify that space and they will be able to enjoy that make over and we will be connected to the space in a special way. This does not help you but it gives an alternative perspective.

I'm paying about $50 for guests over 21, I can't remember the exactly cost for under the but I want to say around $40 for under 21 with an adult meal, and $20 for children.

I thought about that but living in FL outdoor events are unpredictable at best. We'd end spending a fourtune on tent rental 😖. Right no I'm considering a local garden club for reception and ceremony or renting botanical gardens for the ceremony and doing the reception at a community center ballroom. The cheapest I can find so far is $2400-$2700. This would just be for the space, chairs, tables.

Have you checked your local firehouse. I have the same budget as you and someone here told me to check the firehouse and the 1 in my area charged $600 for the use of there hall which was a pretty nice hall but ofcourse it was a blank slate so you would have to do all the decorating and everything.

Where in Fl are you looking? I was looking in the Orlando area, but ended up finding my dream venue in Daytona Beach. The venue I'm using for my ceremony and reception has a summer special each year. It is $6500 for exclusive use of their 10 acre estate, which includes a chapel, tavern, garden area, estate house, and more for 50 guests. The package includes catering, linens, and plates/silverware. Oh and it includes open beer and wine for 4hrs. Each guest over 50 people is $65 per person. It even includes your accommodations the night of the wedding. You would be responsible for your other vendors: cake, photographer, coordinator, and such. But, it's a great deal if you are looking in that area.

It’s called The Estate on the Halifax. It’s a gorgeous venue and very reasonable prices.
