Hotel Welcome Bags - What to Put In and Where to Buy Items

Alexandria, on May 5, 2021 at 5:29 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 16

Hello fellow brides-to-be! I live in Nashville, TN and my wedding is quickly approaching (May 28) and I'm working on a lot of last minute details. I found cute gift bags that say "Welcome" on the front (Amazon) and I have little cards printed with a welcome message/our favorite places to visit in Nashville and another with the itinerary. I'm trying to figure out what items to put in the bags while still staying cost-effective. So far, from what I've seen, I've come up with: 2 bottles of water, 2 granola bars, peanut M&Ms, pretzels, gum or mints, advil or tylenol packets and shout (or some other stain remover brand) wipes. I was also thinking of possible getting rid of the M&Ms and maybe one other and doing GooGoos (a Nashville favorite). Is this too much? Not enough? I'll take any suggestions I can get!

Additionally, and this may be a silly question, but does anyone know where to find the mini packets of advils/tylenols and mini stain remover wipes lol...basically the sample size of all those things? I'm just trying to save myself the time of running all over town to try and find them!

Thanks in advance to anyone that can offer any suggestions or input! Smiley heart

Target and Walmart will have the sample sizes of those over the counter medicines. But you might be able to find them on Amazon in a bundle of like 50 or something

Amazing! That's actually super helpful! I will only need around 10 welcome bags so I will definitely be checking out Target (any excuse to go there, am I right?) and Walmart! THANK YOU!

Thank you! I've just never been an out-of-town guest at a wedding and therefore have never received a hotel welcome bag so I just wasn't sure what typically goes inside.

Iʻm not a candy person but getting off a long flight I would definitely enjoy some water, possibly a Gatorade, and some advil for my usual headache post flight.

When I had mostly OOT guests at my first wedding, I simply left the bags at the front desk of the hotels they were staying at, it was great Smiley smile

Yes to the local Goo Goos instead of M&Ms and granola bars. Local treats are always fun for out of towners. Smiley smile

Everything you described sounds great. We got most of our welcome bag supplies at Costco, but I do remember that we bought the advil packets at Walmart.com and they were very inexpensive.

Avoid peanut m&ms because you don’t know who may have a nut allergy.

Water bottles, granola bars (again be careful with nuts), cookies, Browse the snack aisle at Costco.

Ok! Yes, I’ve already spoken to the hotel and they said I could leave the gift bags at the front em desk for them to give to guests as they’re checking in. I like the idea of Gatorade though! Thanks for your input Smiley smile
