Hotel

Depends on if there is a bridal room to get ready in at the venue and if you are going out to get HMU done or if you plan to do it at the hotel. With COVID, a lot more HMU artists are going to the location where the bride is getting ready rather than the bride going to a salon. Really shouldn't matter if the guests see you on the day before you are all dressed up. If they see the bride with HMU done up but no dress, veil, etc. then it also shouldn't be a big issue. If the groom is also going to be in the hotel you can easily have family or friends keep him in his room while the bride leaves.

It shouldn't be a problem if you are getting ready at the venue. Lots of venues have spaces for getting ready at.

We stayed at the same hotel as the out of town guests the night before the wedding and both my husband and I got ready there (bridesmaids and moms in one suite, groomsmen in different suite). We did our first look in the hotel lobby because it was a gorgeous 5-star property with a grand staircase, marble floor, chandeliers, etc. It was a very large hotel so we simply didn't worry about running into our out of town guests. It's possible that a guest of two saw us as we were leaving, but I suppose we just didn't care
