How are you decorating your ceremony?

I'm not decorating my space at all! I'm planning on a tiny 15 ppl ceremony at the city hall (pre-decorated) wedding chapel. That let's me put all my time and energy into the reception!

I'll be alternating lanterns and buckets of flowers down the isle on both sides and then the arch will have a white metal chandelier hanging from it. I'll also have two old milk cans on either side of the spot we will be standing at the ceremony.

We intentionally chose a beautiful venue that didn't need a lot of decor! Venue provided the chairs. We created our unity candle, bought two grape vine garlands for $12 each at Joann's, and 6 lanterns at Big Lots for $20 each. Voila!

We're keeping it very simple. 3 of the walls are almost entirely floor-to-ceiling windows that will show off the peak fall foliage and lake right outside the building. All we are adding is white & silver tulle bows on the outer edge of the benches, a white runner, and some small faux flower white rose garlands on the ledges up front. We're hoping the cross comes down but it's not a huge deal if it doesn't.

Thank you, Jazmin! It's Calistoga Ranch in Napa Valley. We lucked out because the venue swapped their other chairs for these the month before our wedding (love these cross-back chairs). Did you choose your venue yet? It's so much easier (and less expensive) to decorate a venue when it naturally gives you the feeling/theme you want (i.e. ballroom is great for a modern, fairytale or classic wedding but not rustic or boho--a beach or barn would be better for those styles).

Funny story... we were going to get married on their lawn in front of their lake. Sunny the week before/after our wedding...rain the entire week of our wedding/mini-moon! This patio was our back-up site and it worked out even better--very intimate and still gorgeous view (and the patio deck was also more "piratey").

Awesome!!! Where will your reception be held?

Ours was kept pretty simple. We had the chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) and ketubah (formal Jewish marriage contract) up front. We had pew bows along the aisle. And we had gold sashes around all the seats in the front row.

Decor was really low on my priority list, so we ended up doing zero decor in our ceremony space. I figured the fountain was a good enough focal point.

Lanterns & flowers will line the aisle & at the end of the aisle there will be two flower arrangments. It’s all inside (where guests will be, but the actual arch is outside. It’ll just be a simple whimsical arrangement w/ greenery & white flowers (I don’t remember which ones lol ) on the arch.

Wow! Such pretty venues!! We are not decorating as our wedding is at an arboretum, all the decorating is done for us!!!

Rose petals on the aisle for us and that's it. 😊

I will not be decorating my church. It's pretty nice to begin with. They actually have a 2 beautiful silk flower arrangements that happen to go with my wedding colors.
