How are you handling Thanksgiving as an engaged couple?

Will this be your first Thanksgiving as an engaged couple? What are your Thanksgiving plans, and how are you handling the holidays? 🦃 Are you trading off on which holiday you'll spend with which family? Or squeezing in multiple celebrations? How are you handling Thanksgiving as an engaged couple?...

FH is a police officer, and unfortunately he got the short stick with his schedule this year and is working thanksgiving day and Christmas day. I'm not sure if we will get to spemd/celebrate either holiday together. My parents, mostly my mom I think is feeling a little clingy and needy since it's my "last" family holiday season before I'm married so I'm not sure ill be able to go celebrate with his family.

We will be with my family for Thanksgiving since they're local. We will do an early Christmas with my family and then spend Christmas with his family.

So... we are never having a Thanksgiving as an engaged couple!

We got engaged last New Year's, and we're married already. The only downside to a super short engagement!

The fun part is that this will be the first MARRIED Thanksgiving! DH's parents live very close (as the crow flies, but the NYC subway likes to make it a long trip), so we'll be with them for the holiday. They usually have a large gathering, and they are amazing cooks.

Funnily enough I'm off for Thanksgiving this year and FH has to work so we will be spending Thanksgiving apart but we are used to and accept holidays away/apart with our jobs so no biggie. Plus, our families are scattered across the country so no one is having a big shindig of any kind that we would be able to attend anyway.

This will be our 4th together, 1st as an engaged couple. My family usually does our thanksgiving early, while his family is later so we're able to do both. Makes for a long day, but I couldn't imagine having to pick one or the other

His entire family is on the West Coast except his parents, so we invite his parents to join my big ole family gathering! Unfortunately, it isn't good enough for my in-laws and they have an ADDITIONAL Thanksgiving just them a few days later. Once we are married, we will no longer be attending this as we feel it is important for us to have time for our own family!

This will be our 4th Thanksgiving together. We usually always entertain his family since there are very few. This year, there are more than a few people coming over to celebrate and we are a tad nervous. 18 people a small-ish house. He and I love to cook together and feed people and that love will be what carries us through the holidays. We were supposed to be in Mexico this year so we didn't have to entertain but it didn't pan out. Happy Thanksgiving!

We will be with his family on Thanksgiving. My families thanksgiving wont be until a couple more weeks. My family is very large and it has always been difficult to get everyone or even most of the people to one place for Thanksgiving and Christmas with people visiting in laws, traveling etc so years ago, my cousin and I started Thankmas (halfway between Thanksgiving and Christmas) and that is when we all come together to celebrate both holidays at once. No one has other plans or other families to visit etc. Thanksgiving dinner with presents!
