Our guest list is about final and i was going to start slowly collecting addresses so we can send out our save the dates this fall. But I have no idea how to organize them. the only address book type thing i found on my computer was crappy and annoying. Ideally I'd like some form where i can have...

But I have no idea how to organize them. the only address book type thing i found on my computer was crappy and annoying. Ideally I'd like some form where i can have both an electronic copy and a printed copy.

How are you keeping track of all your addresses?

I started a document using Microsoft works, it has a template for guest lists, it even has a column that you can check if they've already RSVP'd or not...it's pretty cool...

I am also using the WW tool and exporting to EXCEL. Having them on WW allows internet access to the list at any time (while at work, home, with other vendors, etc) and you can customize exports and it also is helpful with seating etc. It also helps you do inner and outer envelopes (if you are doing that).

DON'T USE EXCEL! In the end it ended up being alot of work and disaster. You have an awesome tool right in front of you....the Wedding Wire guest list tool. OMG I found a savior. It will store everything on you guests, track their meal selection, who is with who by household...you can then print out custom reports, then use the Seating tool to assign seats and it will get placed on the list. So much will be done automatically for you from ONE list...even your shower guests. I started with excel and was so glad I used the WW tool instead. It's easy to use!

Im using the tools here I have up loaded it and given a list to FMIL cause she is helping with labels and what not. And I love that the RSVP list is there and what side of the family they are on and the Seating chart tool is great too

I put mine in the same excel spreadsheet with all of my other wedding related data. Then, I purchased an address book and wrote them all down in that so that I'll have the addresses in hard copy in case I ever need them again.

All you ladies must be way more excel savy then me. lol the only thing i used excel for is to figure out how much money I've spent by categories...

I'll have to check out the one on wedding wire. we aren't doing a seating chart- just assigned tables- but I'll admit, i'm sure there are a ton of features on here I haven't even heard about before.

    I just used microsoft word.

I entered all the addresses into a label form, that way all I had to do was get the label stickers and print them out...I also printed a copy to keep with me for any adds or changes, and saved it to my computer and usb.

I use evernote for almost everything. Part of this is because my FH and I don't live in the same place and it allows me to share everything with him.

Using the one on WW, and then when it was time to order invites and I had the address printed on them, I exported into an excel file and emailed it to my invite lady.

I figured it out! i didn't even see that you could add individual guests to a household. i just put all the peoples names who i was inviting in the household line.

I like the wedding wire one so far.... trying to figure out how to delete the ceremony thing though- because everyone who is coming to the ceremony is coming to the reception. no point in having a separate thing for it.

I think I'm going to buy a gold old fashion address book too. sometimes it's nice to have things on a paper in front of you instead of on a screen.
