We are paying for the wedding ourselves but when it comes to the honeymoon we are clueless on where to start paying for it. We don't have enough credit to put it on our credit cards because our honeymoon will cost more than what we are approved for. We will be setting up a honeymoon regesry but we won't get those funds until after our honemoon has to paid for. I know this is a very personal question but I would really like your advice.

We estimated the cost of the HM and then added it to our wedding budget. We just booked it last week and we put it on our CC but we pay it in full each month, so it wont be officially paid for until next month.

Generally all payments have to be done in full before because they cannot guarantee that you will pay after the fact. Save up what you can and don't go beyond your means. We all want amazing honeymoons but if you can't afford it it's not worth going into debt over

My hubby went to work on Tuesday after our Sunday wedding... I took a week off after and half a week before because I hve almost 2 years of vacation saved up and I felt it was time I got to enjoy it!

Didn't budget for a honeymoon, don't have the money for it and FI doesn't get sick or vacation leave.

We paid for half and my parents paid for half. We saved up and paid cash only because there was a surcharge for paying via credit.

But we are using the credit card to pay for other things for the wedding for those vendors that accept it without a surcharge. We can afford the repayments so that's all that really matters. $50 a month interest is really nothing worth worrying about if I can't afford to pay it back instantly. We are only about $1K short for the whole she-bang, so I'm not too concerned.

Pay for it however you can afford it, just make sure you are aware of any repayment requirements on your payment method.

We're paying for our honeymoon as well. We've been told to expect $$ in lieu of gifts from both sides of our family so hopefully some of that can go back into our savings!

My FH is paying for it. He's had the money set aside for quite some time now.

We are paying for it we started putting spending money aside a week after we got engaged and we usually go on a big trip during the month of September to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary so we decided to skip it this year and use it for our honeymoon and what we have saved by the time we go will be spending money. Which is a nice chunk so far

My Dad is letting us use his timeshare and as our wedding gift, he paid for our airfare. I'm sooo thankful because otherwise we might not have had a HM. We are saving like mad for spending money though. I want to be able to do whatever we want and not worry about $.

We are paying cash upfront. No charging anything. We have been penny pinching since we got engaged. And we got a decent tax return. It took all of our refund and then some but we just booked the airfare and hotel last week! Hawaii here we come! We also created a honeyfund and I'm pretty sure most of FH family will contribute and a lot of mine will too. We are not registering for any house stuff as we already live together and have the stuff we need!

We already paid for our plane tickets and are saving our cash for everything else. We are also renting out our spare room for the summer for extra money. No charging!! There is no way I'd start our new life in debt.

A combo of cash and credit. Our hotels were booked on credit, but pretty much everything else is going to come out of our checking accounts.

We are paying cash for both wedding and honeymoon. We have been saving since Feb for it all and have 16 months left. It's not easy, requires a lot of sacrifice.

We are paying for the wedding and honeymoon ourselves also. We've been trying to pay a little bit every month so that our grand total at the end isn't quite so large. We will have to put a portion of the final bills on our credit card, but should be able to pay it off within a month or two after the wedding!

We also started a honeymoon registry in hopes that it would help the cost a bit, but I don't know if anyone will use it!

We are paying for our wedding and honeymoon as well. We are waiting until 3 months after the wedding to actually go on the honeymoon. While this puts less financial pressure on it the decision was also made because the weather in our destination is better at a different time of year than the weather for our wedding here is good. I'd suggest just doing a long weekend after your wedding and then taking your honeymoon a little later when you have the money rather than starting your marriage with debt.

We’ve already paid a 4th of it for the deposit. I’ve budgeted for the honeymoon just as I did for the wedding. We have to have to all paid by August. We’re planning on saving enough to pay for it upfront. As for the spending cash on the honeymoon. We’re planning on taking 1-2k. We’ll see how we do with the honeyfund. That’s the only registry we are doing.

We are paying for the vast majority of our Hawaiian honeymoon with gifts from the wedding, including a VERY generous gift from H's parents. I've researched a lot to keep costs within what we have, we'll likely have to pay some out of pocket, but so far we should have enough to eat for the 5 days we're there and maybe get a few souvenirs.
