How are you practicing your new name signature?

Because I Said So, on August 27, 2010 at 7:54 PM Posted in Married Life 0 10

Are any of you other soon to be or newly married ladies having trouble figuring out how to sign your new name? I've been practicing off and on and I can't seem to adopt a new signature! I mean my current signature probably took me years to perfect. And my new last name will be long so I don't want to write out the whole thing every time. Not like I really sign my name tons!

I'm not...lol. I've been married 3 months and decided that my hyphenated last name is signed exactly the way I've been signing my name for the last 25 years (since my first marriage Smiley smile

I sort of added a little longer squiggle at the end. If anyone asks, that squiggle says Andrews.

I have messed around with it a couple of times... it always ends up being my first name then a capital M and squiggle. I just can't see to get it to look normal so I don't do it. haha

Right now my signature is perfect and flows easily. My new hyphenated last name since FH has 2 names and I am taking both doesn't flow as easily plus I don't want to write out my whole first name with the new last name cause it will be too long. My last name will become my middle name. I'll probably sign J. K----M---- at least that is what I've practiced. Not used to it though and don't like how it looks yet. I've practiced my new signature on e-mails at work which will be Jennifer S. K----M----. Still getting used to how that will look lol.

I have tried but the cursive F has me stumped. I can't make it look pretty lol! and I don't think it helps that I have chicken scratch for writing Smiley winking

I didn't. I have stayed with the same last name since birth.

We aren't sure which name we will be taking after getting married, but I've practiced it plenty of times.

His is so much easier to write lol.

    Kalyn, you're lucky! I LOVE cursive "F"s

I've been using my new name as my business name so I'm pretty used to it now. "Lam" is a lot easier to write than my maiden name "Gonzales"

I changed my name, but never practiced my married name. I never did that in high school, either. I must be weird.

I'm going from HR to HV and for some reason, my brain can't figure out a way to make it work... My current last name has a g in it, so I'm used to doing 'downward' swoops and my soon-to-be last name has both a y and a d so I have no clue what I'm doing. Smiley xd
