How are you showing up as "you" at your wedding? (photos wanted!!)

Oh what a cute idea! I love rabbits so we’ve snuck some of those in to our decor, plus I chose an Irish threepenny bit which has a hare on it for my good luck coin to put in my shoe. I also love pink - my engagement ring is a peach sapphire, my bridesmaids are in pink, flowers will be peaches, pinks and creams, and my dress has a pink sash and pink tulle underneath the skirt which only I will really know about unless I lift it a bit! I also have nude/peachy shoes!


I’m also born in June and my birthstone is pearls, so I have pearl earrings as well.

I'm carrying a handbag instead of flowers. I'm not that into flowers and all they do is die. My new bag, I can reuse forever and think of our day.

Omgosh - bunnies and so much pink! I love it!!! I'm curious how are you sneaking the rabbits into this! I am also considering getting a coin (like the one on the necklace) to put in my shoe - if I don't wear it as a necklace. I'm just wanting to be a little less cookie cutter while still embracing all things wedding!

I’ve added several details that scream “me” (or “us”).
I am rarely seen without a pair of Dr. Martens in the Fall, and my wedding will be no exception! I ordered a pair that matches my dress. They will be mostly hidden during the ceremony, but I will be changing into a shortened version of my ceremony dress for the second half of the reception and the after party, so they will be on full display! I had a headpiece that represents both sides of my personality made (just heard from the artist that it was finished and being shipped out tomorrow!) as well as a custom made veil with a saying that represents us stitched across the bottom. There’s an inside joke/story about Patron tequila and the 1st time FH & I met, so instead of a unity candle or something of that nature, we are doing “unity shots” of Patron during our ceremony.

and we found these little statues to put on our card table

plus... my grandmother in law is embroidering my 'something blue' handkerchief but I bought some ribbon to sew into my dress in case she can't make it or forgets, just to be safe, haha!

I'm having an elegant Halloween theme wedding with skeletons and skulls. Most of the decorations will come from my own collection.

When FH & I met we were both fascinated with astronomy and would faithfully was the monthly astronomical forecasts, etc. so we are integrated a celestial theme with ferns, moss & greenery as one of our first trips together was to Watkins Glen and we were immersed in moss & ferns. We love the outdoors and being under the night sky so we want it to have that feel for our guests.

I was just looking at all things moon and stars since I told DH that we couldn't meet because Mercury was Retrograde and I didn't want that vibe. HA! We met within the last few days of the retro since he was insistent. HA! I love your celestial theme so much!!!

I am using my favorite colors and for the reception I am going to have small hidden touches of Halloween (small bats skulls etc hidden amongst the other decorations).

This is such a fun and unique thing to do!! I love this question and the nature of it i don't think I did anything super unique or non-traditional, but I was definitely me on my wedding day! I'm kind a over-the-top my nature, and that was definitely the case for my wedding. I wore all the glitter I could, including a fabulous tiara that I just adore. I had a caricature artist too and that was so fun.

I call my FH Mr. Potato Head because when he grows his mustache out it looks just like the plastic one. We got a mini Mr. and Mrs. Potato head as our cake topper.
I will also be wearing cowboy boots under my wedding dress.
