How big should the centerpiece be?

So the guest tables at the ballroom will are 72" in diameter. About how large (wide and tall) should a centerpiece be for the table? I'm really afraid that our centerpieces will be super small compared to the tables.

    Just an idea:

My dining room table is 60 inches long. Since the tables at my reception will be 60 inches round. I practice center pieces by putting them in the middle of my table and sitting on the side. I'm going to make a 60 inch mock table out of cardboard also. Smiley smile
