How can i get rid of scars??

Gracey, on May 15, 2022 at 12:24 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 9

This is a crazy question but I need to ask it!
So I’m a shift manager at a restaurant and I got myself a big ol’ grease burn the other day and I get married in 4 months!! The last burn I got from work was on my hand and took 3 months to heal but I still have a scar from it! I just purchased a protective arm sleeve but what can I use to help not get scars?? I’m so worried 😭How can i get rid of scars?? 1

I don't have specific recommendations, but there are absolutely burn creams that are supposed to decrease scarring, especially if you start using them early in the healing process. I also think reddit will be a great source for this question

Scar Away silicone scar sheets! I used them on huge incision scars after surgery, and now you really have to know where to look & look hard to see any trace of them. Just make sure you use them exactly as directed.

I second Bio-Oil for healing and then a good makeup foundation close to your wedding.

As a last resort, maybe the tattoo cover-up option could work. It might have to be a professional job to make sure there are no coloring issues in the photographs.

A good makeup artist can also help you day-of to hide any leftover discoloration.
