How did everyone get engaged?

So I kind of saw it coming in a way, let me explain:


We were out for a drive, doing grocery stuff, and he decides "hey, let's get some bread for the ducks. We're going to the duck pond." I was like okay, let's go! (It's where we had our first date when I came to visit him. We were long distance for 6 years.)
So unbeknownst to me, his mom and his next door neighbors mom were trailing us the whole time, and ended up snapping a couple pictures and videos.
Anyway, back to the proposal. So we get to the duck pond, we start feeding them bread, and all of a sudden I have this feeling like he dropped to his knees behind me (I could just tell that he wasn't standing anymore) so naturally, I went down too. He looks back at his mom, asking like "Uh oh. What do I do?" they're like "I don't know!" And then I get up, turn to look at him, and he's on his knee asking me to marry him. I didn't say yes. I didn't say anything. I just looked at him. Then his mom and neighbor yelled out "What did she say?!" And he goes "I don't know yet! Ask again later!" I was in shock. Like I knew it was going to happen but I didn't realize it was happening at the same time. So I nod, kiss him, we get pictures taken, video taken, etc. Feed the ducks, the people at the park start clapping for us. We end up going to the car and as soon as the door shuts, he's like "So.... Was that a yes?" And I realized I hadn't said anything so I was like "OH. Yes, of course it's a yes!" 😂

He asked me if I liked the way my first name sounded with his last name, and if he could “annoy [me] forever.” (Isn’t he romantic? 😂) To be honest, I had a feeling it was coming soon, but it was a few weeks earlier than I anticipated. (Labor Day weekend, as opposed to my birthday.) I think that made it even better, to be honest.

We were in the talks about getting married and I had already created my dream ring but I had NO IDEA of the "when" or "where" this would take place. I thought we were just traveling to a new place, like we always do but while I was taking selfies and trying not to faint from the altitude at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, he was DROPPING TO ONE KNEE! I turned around and there he was! A group gathered and cheered as I screamed "YES!!!!!" Our friend/professional photographer was hidden nearby and caught the whole thing on video I am the happiest, luckiest, and most loved
