How did he propose?!

I proposed.

It was completely planned by both of us. We both dislike surprises lol. Day of shopping, food, and fun, and rounded out the evening at our favorite dive bar (where he has saved many a barstool from my drunk ass) and he proposed next to a giant oak on the patio. It was a pretty low-key event, but I still bawled like a baby. Pretty much all day had been telling him he still had time to back out lol

"Unofficially" on the couch at home watching TV. I didn't think he was being serious! He's a big jokester like that! When I realized he was serious I got teary-eyed and obviously said yes! "Officially" (with a ring), he took me to a very nice steakhouse, everything was beautiful!

I am the worst with surprises, and got to love him he is so perfect it took him 3 times I just kept messing it up for him, originally on new years eve at midnight I walked into our hotel room to. I love you in roses on the bed and a trail to follow our song playing and a perfect little ring box sitting in the center of the bed on top of a very pretty satin nightie..... my response to this beautiful scene and the man I love standing behind me...."Get Out!!!" It's the only thing I could say. Get out get out get out.... and so he did. When he came back up , nightie was on and well....he never asked we finished our weekend away and let it go. Until time number 2. It had become a running joke with our families that I was only getting one more shot at it and I better not mess it up. Because he was only going to do it once and that was it. Flash forward to the fourth of july..he's the firework tech and puts on the entire show every year, I normally sit with his mother to watch. Towards the end of the night in the dark a sparkler started shinning walking towards me he was so sweet and went to lean in and I freaked out and smacked the sparkler and burnt myself he never made it b to his knee I didn't find out til we were in bed that night I had ruined it again. ..he had it all planned and didn't tell anyone so Noone could mess it up. Whoa is mee, lol I just can't give this man a break. Smh... 3 days later after a long day and being completely exhuasted I got out of the shower came in the bedroom hair wet and a mess, he phased how I met your mother, looked at me asked me to sit down. And before I could reply he said shut up sit still and will you marry me. I cried, and apparently took the ring and didn't answer for about 30 minutes until he said is that a yes orrrr.... smh lol I so don't deserve him. He's so perfect we will be married 10/06/18 he sent me this today while pressure washing a roof. God I love him!

Cliffs of Moher in Ireland!

I had a 30th birthday surprise party planned for him. He knew something was happening but not exactly sure what. At the party I was told he was going to open gift I was confused bc what 30 year old opens gifts?! At the end of

Opening gifts (all alcohol) he said he had a gift for me for planning everything. He gave me a hand painted pallot with lyrics to our song on it and then a small bag. There was nothing but tissue paper in the bag and he said he must have forgot to put the gift in it. He then turned around and turned back around and got down on one knee it was amazing bc everyone we loved was there!

mine actually kind of crazy. Here goes...

For about a week and a half I was given a rose everyday and the on the last day which was the 27th of May. I went to my FH place and he was sitting outside waiting on me and grabbed my hand as he led me to the bathroom when there was a white rose sitting in a cup by the mirror. Then he took me to the back porch and told me about a ring he had gotten and how he returned it to get the other one I really wanted. "I would of been happy either way" We had such an amazing genuine talk and that's the day he asked me to be his bride. Then on the 2nd of June we went back to the place we met and he got down on one knee and officially asked me to marry him. So we're getting married on the 27th of May!

My FH is NOT the romantic type. We don't see each other often due to working opposite shifts, and running a buisness together. One of our guilty pleasures when we are together is the show on Netflix called Trailer Park Boys. One night we watched the episode where the main character Ricky proposes to his girlfriend Lucy. He just gave her the ring and said "So, Uh, you wanna get married or something?" And Jason said thats how he was going to propose. I laughed and said something like of coarse you would. Have to tease them right?

Fast forward a few months to 02/13/16. We planned a nice dinner at a new steak house a town over. Due to living in South Dakota the weather had no choice but to be a blizzard that night. I knew he was going to propose because my mom kept asking all week, "Would if he asks you to marry him?" Nonetheless I was still extremely nervous and he said we should wait till the next day and I was crushed. I have to feel this nervous for another 24 hours? We went down stairs and he gave my my present, it was a hand made walnut jewelry box with my intials carved in. I sat on the bed and inside was the ring box. I looked back up at him and he said shurgging with his hands in his pockets "So, uh, you wanna get married or something?

He made me hike up the side of the mountain on a hot day and we forgot water! Haha. I had suspected that he was planning to propose so I sucked it up and marched my butt up that mountain and got my ring! We had talked for a few minutes before and apparently I kept interrupting him everytime he tried to bring the topic around to him asking. He told me on the way back down that if I'd shut up long enough, he would have asked sooner. It was hot, I was sweaty and starving by the time we came down but I wouldn't have asked for city any differently.

April 16th 2016! There is a botanical garden that resides in the county next to us. Twice a year they allow you to bring your dog for like a "dog days". Being the avid dog person I am (my dogs are my life). We had went last year to this one spot in the garden I was like wow this is so beautiful. So flash forward he takes me to the same spot insisting he wanted to take a family pic of us and the dogs for Christmas cards. So my best friend started to take pics, and also recording. Then he says a whole bunch of sweet stuff and gets down on one knee. So sweet!

On our 2 anniversary of moving into our house, he had our (at the time) 1 1/2 year old carry my engagement ring into me while we were getting ready for bed. It was the sweetest thing ever. Mind you I had the engagement ring for 2 years before he proposed, I completely wasn't expecting it.

We had been together for ten years and he told me to be ready to go out on my birthday. This was two years ago. It's really unusual for him to plan anything in advance, he's usually spur of the moment. So, I kinda knew something was up but, wasn't sure what. A limo arrived and we went to a really nice restaurant in a little foothill town called Gennesse Park, Colorado. It has a view of the Denver metro area. It was snowing too so, it was beautiful. He got on his knee and asked me If I'd be his wife and I said, "it took you long enough! Of course!" The waiter then brought us champagne so, he had planned the entire thing. It was so romantic!

On our 9 month anniversary.

My FH were in our house on a Thursday. I was in a bad mood thanks to a bad day at work. I was trying to pull myself together because he had nothing to do with it when he started talking about our relationship and everything we had been through the last 4 years. He talked about how he loved the best/worst of me...then he simply asked me to marry him and placed my dream ring on my finger.

FH and I are super chill. He was visiting from Sweden and we had been talking about getting married for a couple of months. We were driving in the car a few days before Christmas, and we were talking about how we both knew that we were going to be together forever, that we were each other's "one." Then, he turned to me (I was driving, and we were at a stoplight) and said, "So...want to go get a ring on Saturday?" I was just like "uh, YES!" so, the day after Christmas we went to my favorite jewelry store and picked out a ring (he insisted I pick it out because I was going to have to wear it for the rest of my life). It was just so us, though.

Then again, really weird/chill proposals seem to run in my family. My mom and dad just sat down on new year's and looked at each other and said "let's pick a date [to get married]." My grandfather proposed to my grandmother in a pizza parlor in NYC after they'd been dating for a while. She had just taken a bite of pizza and had cheese hanging out of her mouth when my grandfather said, "Fuck it! Let's get married!" (My parents have been married 26 years and my grandparents have been married for 54, so I take it as a good sign my FH proposed like this. haha).

My FH took me to Ruth Chris and knelt down on one knee!! I was totally surprised !
