Aww! I love engagement stories!! We were hosting an Ugly Christmas Sweater party to mark our first Christmas in our house.... his mom had insisted on having Santa come and bring the kids presents, well Santa also had presents for myself and FH, he had a card with money and I had an empty mini bottle of Jack Daniels lol - on our 6 month anniversary I gave him mini bottles with little sayings written on them one said drink this when you're ready to make me your wife- this was the bottle gifted to me along with a beautiful card and once I finished reading he got down on one knee with all of our friends and family surrounding us! It was so well planned and thought out! I cry every time I watch the video

He proposed on top of the hill behind our apartment at sunset. It was the first Sunday of football, we had decided to grab to-go sushi, throw it in the fridge, take our sunset walk, and come back and eat with Sunday night football. When we went to go pick up the sushi, they were very busy, and we had to sit there waiting for about 30 minutes. He was playing a losing battle with the sun at this point. I was wondering why he was walking so fast up the hill! We made it to the top right as the last of the sun was going down. He said, "We've had a lot of fun times up here, and here's one more" and got down on one knee. Super romantic.

He proposed at universal studios last year. Fast forward a year and we are getting married there! It's our favorite spot

FH proposed on thanksgiving. After we finished dinner with my family, we went to Crown Center Plaza in KC to see the Mayor's tree lighting. Little did we know the tree lighting was actually the next day! So we walked around the hotels there & happened upon a beautifully decorated tree. While looking at the tree he started fidgeting & I knew something was up. He got down on one knee & asked if I would marry him. I cried and laughed, & couldn't believe it was happening.

It was Valentines day morning two years ago. We woke up and got ready to go to breakfast at a local place we go. On the way he drive past it and went to the little league field, which is were we met ( he was my son's baseball coach). I didn't think anything of it, he got out and asked me to come with him, I thought that was weird since there was so much snow everywhere. He walked over as close to the field as we could get and went on with his speech and asked me to marry him. It was perfect <3

He proposed around our anniversary. We went to our favorite restaurant that we have been going to every year, and followed it up with a nice long walk in our favorite park. There is this beautiful lake where he asked if we could sit. After a few minutes of talking and cuddling up next to each other he turned to look at me and said he had a very important question. That's when he got done on one knee and asked the question that added another milestone to our relationship. I was so excited that while he was asking I kept blurting out yes haha couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day in the middle of August

He actually proposed twice! I said no the first time. Not because I didn't want to marry him, but I wanted to make sure that he was entirely sure about marrying me. Second time was two weeks later on New Years after the ball dropped.

He made me think that we were going on a double date with our friends and that what it was was going to be a surprise for the girls. So, blind folded us(turns out it was just me), then brought me to our house where all of our friends were- even my best friends from out of town. Then we had a party

Ours was a slight comedy of errors to begin with. I was working and it was a million degrees outside. He came into the shop and asked my coworker to send me outside and for her to bring a camera. She interpreted it as he wanted me to go outside and take a camera with me. I was just curious why tf he was there when I was going to be home in under and hour. Anyway, I go outside and he says he needs help getting the car seat out of the car (our daughter was 4 mo at the time and he always had trouble getting the seat out). I go to get her and he had tied the ring to the handle of the car seat. I turn around and he's on one knee, on the burning asphalt, asking me to marry him. I laughed and said yes. After some pics he and baby girl went home and I went back to finish work. Haha it was simple and sweet. Just like us.

Longwood Gardens at Christmas

We were in Vieques, Puerto Rico last summer with his family. We had visited a secluded Black Sand beach our 2nd day there- not a soul in sight except our small group. A few days later, he suggested we go back to it. I figured it was because his aunt had missed going earlier in the week.

Not long after we reached the beach (it was a bit of a hike through a forest), FH's aunt and cousin took off for a walk down the beach. Unbeknownst to me, FH wanted to take a walk to the same place they were at, so he sat with his mom waiting while I played in the sand and water like a 3yr old. A few minutes later, a group of locals show up and start heading down the beach where aunt and cousin were walking. Not long after that, we heard a rustle in the woods, turn, and see a pack of wild dogs coming down the beach. They keep heading down the beach, also towards aunt, cousin, and locals, paying us no attention. (There was a straggler in the pack that had us cracking up).

Finally, aunt and cousin start heading back so FH asks if I want to take a walk. I think nothing of it since we had done the same thing earlier in the week. This time though, he decided he wanted to go around the corner of the cliff "to see what was on the other side." I follow along. As we round the corner, we hear a rustling above us, look up, and see a horse coming down from the cliff above. There are wild horses that roam the island so I immediately start following. As I'm watching what the horse is doing, FH says, from behind me, "I have a question for you." I turn around, rolling my eyes and expecting a ridiculous question like he has been asking all week. Instead, he is down on one knee, with a ring box. To say I was shocked is an understatement. Even with all the interruptions (in his opinion), to me, it was perfect!

I knew it was going to happen, I was with him when he bought the ring. We were going out to eat for our anniversary and on the drive over he got so nervous he forgot everything he had planned to say. We get to the restaurant and he just stands awkwardly in the parking lot. I walk over to see what's wrong with him and he pushes me against the car, pulls the ring from his pocket and just asks me to marry him. He refused to get down on one knee though because he was wearing new pants and didn't want to get them dirty. I of course said yes, laughed a little at how cute and nervous he was, and then asked if we could go inside because I was starving. It was great.

He took me to the place we had our first date. We walked around and looked at this statue. He told me he wanted to take pictures and had me turn around to take one of me looking at it. I turned back around and he was on one knee. I was so focused on him I didn't realize my best friend was taking photos the whole time. It was perfect <3

Well actually after back at the hotel. He was afraid the ring would set off the metal detectors and didn't wanna have to pull it out to show the security guards while I was right there. Silly guy

So many great proposal stories!

He proposed on NYE. I had always told him I disliked holiday proposals but NYE was the first time we said "I love you" to each other so it has special sentiment. He made reservations at the restaurant where we had our first date. As we were leaving he stopped me in front of his truck and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Neither of us likes to be the center of attention so proposing inside the restaurant would have been awkward for both of us. How he did it was perfect for us.

Christmas morning with the kids! My daughter knew weeks in advance. He asked her for permission first, she is 14 and he has been in our lives since she was 6 and she adores him but I really loved how he incorporated her in the planning and everything. The proposal was fantastic but learning the events that lead up to it meant the world to me! We have a 7 year old son together but he didn't know anything, he would have squeeled for sure...lol

In the living room asked me to come and look at something... I was in santa pants with no shower and I said No try again!

Had family over for Christmas. Waited until everyone had opened everything. Told me to go out on the patio because he had something to get out of his car that he needed help lifting and wanted to make sure I didn't peak while he was bringing it inside. Had my daughters fiancee go fb live so all of our friends and family who couldn't be with us on Christmas could see it and popped the question. We had just talked about marriage and decided that we would move forward with it after valentines day 2017. Guess he couldn't wait. Lol
