So my husband and I went on our first official date to a steakhouse, and we still go back there somewhat regularly when not under quarantine because we like it. It was August and super hot, but he still ended up grabbing his hoodie before we headed for the restaurant because the ring box didn't fit in his jean pocket. Not only that, but he was as super nervous as he was when he told me he had feelings for me. We ate dinner, with him doing his nervous talk a mile a minute, then after we walked outside and he asked me. It was so sweet and genuine and just us. We both cried, the ring is beautiful. It wasn't a surprise - we picked the ring together- but how he proposed was.
