How did you and your significant other meet?

We met in our apartment building in 2014 when we lived in Dayton, OH. He was in the Air Force and I was in grad school. He walked into the lobby in his uniform (😍) when I was picking up a package and chatting with the apartment manager about Breaking Bad and GOT and he jumped in on the conversation. We got in the elevator together and it turned out we lived on the same floor. I told him what apartment I lived in (maybe not the best idea in hindsight) and 2 days later there was a note on my door with his phone number inviting me to go on a date with him. The rest is history!

3 years ago we met on plenty of fish. I had just got out of a 3 month relationship and had been single for only a month. My friends kept convincing me to try a different route with dating but I didn't feel I needed to be on a dating site. After my friends constantly bugging me about putting myself on a dating app I finally did. And my fiancé messaged me, he was the only guy I talked to on the app. He was such a gentleman and seemed to be genuine. We went on our first date a week after talking, I love him more and more every day. I can't imagine life without him.

My fiance and I are high school sweethearts! I had just moved across the country to a school 4x the size of my old school, and FH was the only guy in my PE class! We started talking at the end of the 1st semester when I overheard him talking about the new star wars movie and Bath and Body works and we became best friends over the next few months! We had MAJOR crushes on each other (so much so we couldn't look each other in the eye anymore lol!) and right before the end of the school year he finally admitted that he liked me and we started dating! We were the nerdiest couple in school and everyone loved how cute we were (but also hated it because ewww loveXD ) 4.3 years later and we couldn't be happier despite the huge challenges we've faced and my family being extremely unsupportive of us. We've only ever dated and been with each other and I wouldn't have it any other way!

We didn't want to wait- we eloped (just us, with our officiant & her husband) under the huge lit tree at Busch Gardens on Friday 13, last December.

I’m kinda old school when it comes to relationships so he actually asked me to be his girlfriend December 17, 2018. I wasn’t labeling it anything until he asked.


We got engaged up in the Shenandoah mountains October 26, 2019.

And we are planning our wedding at a local winery on November 21, 2020.
I never even thought about getting married at Busch gardens. That’s super sweet.

Tinder! LOL! I was on there for fun and games 5 years because I had seen so many funny photos of interactions on there. I only ended up receiving maybe 1 or 2 funny messages. Wasn't actually expecting what happened. I almost didn't swipe on my now fiance because his main photo was grainy and his profile sounded...kind of boring (I told him this later on). We chatted for about a week then met in person for coffee. Rest is history!

We met at church like 4-5 years ago, had chatted here and there but nothing happened (i was unofficially with another guy at the time), but Ryan had some game nights that i had gone to with my friend Chris....over that time we were slightly interested but both shy and not knowing if the other would be interested or not... then 2 years ago, I wanted to try to get my guy friend Chris talking to a girl he liked so i wanted to reach out to our mutual friend Ryan to set up a board/card game day so my friend Chris could invite this girl and long story short I ended up starting a fb chat with Ryan and it got personal real quick and from a thursday through late into saturday night we were messaging non stop on fb messenger when he asked me out on a date.. i said yes i would go on a date with him, the following weekend, then for 3 weekends straight we had a date a week, on the 3rd date Aug 5 2018 Ryan asked me to be his girlfriend ....2 years later and we are talking marriage !!!

We met through a mutual friend. Went to a gun range and ate a good hole-in-the-wall restaurant and that was it for me lol

Actually yes! my friend Chris (unbeknownst to me) had friends that were closer to this girl Trisha and thought they belonged together and set them up and they got married this past June 6 2020! I am so happy for them......and I know my time is coming soon, as Ryan and i are working out some things in our own lives first before getting engaged/married, but it will be the right time when it does! .... I always wanted to get married in May, but with Covid I am glad it didn't happen this year, fingers crossed I will be engaged soon to get married May 2021...God's timing is best... so we will see. lol

We just kind of paid for our tickets and got married (in the Pouring rain) under the radar, under that beautiful tree. His eyes shone as brightly as it did, as we said our vows. We're using the 'Tree of Gondor' symbol in our wedding, when it's finally safe for us to have it.

It was literally my first time ever using the app and he was one of the few that wasn’t trying to just have a hook up. It took us a couple weeks to finally have a date together because my work schedule was awful back then. But our 3 year anniversary is next month and our wedding is in October!
