How did you announce your engagement?

It would have been weird if we would have called our entire family. If you are close with all your aunts, uncles, cousins etc and talk to them on a regular basis, then calling them would be fine, but in my case, it would be very awkward to call up family members out of the blue who I haven't spoken to in years to tell them that I am getting married. Facebook and word of mouth was a much better way of informing those types of family members.

We changed our relationship status on facebook lol.

I called and posted it on facebook.

We told close friends and family via phone calls...and left the rest up to Facebook. We were on a cruise in Alaska and called them all once we got to the next port. We updated Facebook a few days later.
