How did you announce your engagement? 💍

He proposed during a weekend trip to Savannah, GA! He had a few of our friends and his family there, so they all knew beforehand!

I facetimed my mom and one of my friends afterwards, We did the same with his family living our of state. We waited a few days to actually post it on social media so we could enjoy the weekend with everyone!

I simply just told people. I did not bother announcing it

Both our families were there. I called a few people that I wanted to know first then just posted online.

Called my parents and sister, then texted my best friend. Then my husband posted on Facebook, he couldn’t wait! We didn’t call his parents until the next day.

On the day of our engagement, I sent out a text to immediate family first, then sent a picture to my closest friends. After that, I waited almost a week until I shared it on social media, just to ensure that we had reached out to everyone that we wanted to personally tell first.

We told our families at Christmas. Neither of us really wants children, but FH's mom really wants us to have some (I have a daughter from a previous relationship). We made a card with a sonogram picture of twins on the front and on the inside it said 'Just Kidding! We're getting married!' and we gave my mother and his the cards at the same time. FMIL got super excited when she first saw the card, but my mom knew something was up immediately. We did this only with family because we knew it would be a good prank on his mom, but otherwise we never joke about that.

To everyone else we just made a little facebook post, but we finally announced in January after we put a deposit down on our venue and that was almost 3 months we'd been engaged.

I called my mom the next morning and texted my dad. I'm a very private person and prefer to not share much on social media.

We called our parents to wish them a happy New Year/tell them, as well as his sister, then called other family the next day.... and then posted on social media.

A lot of our friends were at the party where we got engaged, so they were able to post videos once we announced.

Definitely no social media announcements 👎🏽 FH proposed in Hawaii. So the next day I called my parents and they replied “Yes, we already knew!!” 😄 (FH told them his plan to propose weeks before our trip). Then I called my 5 closest friends and shared the proposal details. For our other friends/family we sent them this a week later:

She proposed a year ago, but I only told close friends and coworkers at first. Then in October, I finally told my family and then made the big announcement to the rest of the world on Facebook and Instagram. We've known each other for 7 years, and liked each other right away. It just was wrong person at the wrong time. Then when we both weren't looking, we crossed paths again and it was the perfect time. She is absolutely amazing in every way and a giant pain in my ass, but shes mine and I wouldn't change a thing. I found my one. "WE'RE SIMPLY MEANT TO BE". =P

After we got engaged I texted everyone close to us first and then posted it on social media.
We got engaged at his house after dinner and he had my parents and his parents over for it. It was a terrible picture because you couldn't see the ring lol

He proposed in our townhome November 2019 so we were able to enjoy it just the two of us for that evening. We called our parents the next day and spent time reaching out to other family and friends throughout the week. After we saw family for Christmas his mom asked if it was okay for her to put something on social media and that was how everyone else found out lol.

He proposed in Wisconsin with 2 friends who helped set it all up. When I got home I told a few friends that I needed to face time them. While on FaceTime I kept making it obvious about my ring and they finally noticed! Once I got home I tried to see if my family would notice my ring to which they thought it was just a regular ring lol til I finally said he asked me to marry him! Lol for the rest of the family I either called or they found out through Facebook.

My fiancé proposed on my birthday Christmas Eve in 2019. He planned a whole surprise party with my family and friends. Everyone jumped out and surprised me after pretending to forget my bday all day. What I thought was just a surprise party turned into a surprise engagement as well. As for telling everyone else, I simply updated my Facebook to engaged. I’d been off Facebook for quite a while and I had no idea changing my relationship status was going to alert everyone. Within minutes I had so many congratulations pouring in on Facebook. So I posted a picture of the proposal and everyone knew by Christmas morning.

He proposed while we were at a cabin with my family. (They helped him plan the whole vacation) we were all playing charades for game night, it was our turn and I was trying to guess his actions. He was on the last few and he dropped down to his knee and had the ring. I was absolutely shocked! Because of our situation (with our relationship) we have not told my father yet, he doesn’t exactly agree with the relationship so I am extremely nervous to tell him. We haven’t announced it on socials yet so the only people who know are the ones that were on vacation with us.

My love proposed to me at the restaurant, where we had a romantic dinner.

It was absolutely surprising to me! The first person, whom I called, was my bestie, she started crying with me together

Then the next morning we announced to our parents. My bridesmaids made me a beautiful gift, a subscription to Miss To Mrs boxes. I started to use the items from my first box, making cute posts on social media, and I like this way to tell all the world that I'm a happy bride!!

I called my dad almost immediately after and then just posted a photo on FB of the ring for everyone else
