How did you choose your colors?

Madison, on April 13, 2020 at 10:25 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 56

I'm getting married as late as 2022 but I want to move it up. My problem is figuring out which colors I want. I want sunflowers everywhere but I keep talking myself out of other colors. How do you decide?

Started with a color both me and my FH love then looked at Pinterest to see what shades we loved most!

I picked mine and my FH's favorite colors. It just turns out that Burgundy and Olive look really good together Smiley smile

There are certain colors I "can't" have. Reds, I already have rosacea( face is always red), and I don't know how I feel about pastels. My Fiance has decided this is my wedding to plan he's just going to agree with whatever I pick

We chose our favorite color which is cobalt blue and then chose colors to compliment that, which are jewel colors (peacock).

Did your colors seem really bold? lol That's a weird question. I keep feeling like I need 1 bold deep color and 1 pale-ish color

They're definitely both going to be bold. I considered adding a cream or a sunflower to brighten it up a bit, but I've decided that I like them the way they are. If you feel like you need one bold & one pale, go for it.

We picked a color with meaning and then picked colors that went well and fit the season. We’re doing purple, gray, and then the flowers in assorted fall colors. Purple is my grandparents’ birthstone color, so that was important to me.

I chose my colors because I also knew I wanted sunflowers and my other favorite flower is blue hydrangeas so I went from there. My MOH wore a dust blue dress and carried sunflowers and we added greenery and those were my colors. Look in Pinterest for weddings with sunflowers.

I chose it based on colors I liked. Maybe you can choose a color and your groom can choose another and see if those go well together

When I do all I'm getting is like colors I'm not a big fan of. My absolute favorite color is yellow, but my bridesmaids are not all super tan. I want them to look good also

My fiance is very indecisive (sad face) and my bridal party doesn't want to help me pick. So I'm having to do this on my own

That’s why I loved the blue with the yellow. It wasn’t too much color. How did you choose your colors? 1

I like that. Was your wedding at a beach?

My other problem is my fiancé is a twin. And his twin brother felt left out and decided to propose to his ex gf while he’s away in the military. So I’m fighting her for my wedding because everyone is so excited for them. We’ve been pushed aside. So we’re having to pick things completely different and my FMIL is being so helpful to her 🙄

Sunflowers are a great way to start! Are there other colors in your reception venue that would work well with the sunflowers?

I like silver over gold and my wedding is going to be outdoors in a pasture. Lots of green around us so I’m not sure if I should add green or not

Will your reception be outside too? If so, green would be a natural fit.
