How Did You Decide on Wedding DATE??

FH and I wanted a fall wedding but we didn't want it to be too cold out so we chose September 2018.

We knew we wanted a summer wedding, and since we got engaged at the end of August 2016 we chose between available dates in August/September 2017 to give us the most time to plan.

Honestly for me it was super easy because I knew I always wanted to be a May bride, it's my favorite season in NY because the weather is just right (outdoor ceremony) and I just thought the 20th sounded nice (along with it being a Saturday because me and FH both were adamant about having a Saturday wedding)

This is going to sound strange...but FH's favorite number is 10 and my favorite number is 7. The fact that 10/7 was on a Saturday this year was fate.

I absolutely wanted a fall wedding. September has been so hot lately, so we went with October. We picked the Saturday we did because it's what the venue had available.

We live in Florida so we def didn't want it in the hotter months, March was our best option for *chance* of cooler weather. And we play roulette a lot and one of our favorite numbers to play is 33. so we went with march 3rd. Then the venue we liked only had March 3rd available-so it all worked out.

We wanted to get married first thing in 2017. And we looked at any weekend in January, realized the 13th landed on a Friday and thought it was perfect for us.

And we happened to see two black cats upon arriving at the venue.

I was set on an October or November wedding..don't know why but I just love fall weddings. Our venue didn't have any openings in October and with FH being a die hard Alabama fan I was limited to what dates I could work with. Luckily November 18th was available and it's not a big game for Alabama.

I really wanted October.. so we picked 29th it's on a Sunday and that's what the venue had available. Originally wanted a Saturday wedding, but the only Saturday my venue had open was thanksgiving weekend and December 23 and I wasn't going to go through all that hassle. Lol

We chose October for the weather (not too hot, not too cold), and the holiday weekend since it was close to our anniversary and convenient for my family with kids to come into town.

Thanks guys for the input. In Alabama March is brown, april rainy, May is green. I will start marking off venues and like mentioned above we can just go with that's available bc who knows what the weather will be like on any specific day. Again thanks for your advice and sharing how you came to decide on ur wedding dates !! Ps. Don't laugh at me but what day is Star Wars Day ?

Picked a few dates in advance (anniversary/fav time of year). Ended up going with what our favorite venue had available. Wanted an evening wedding and ended up with daytime but we're still excited.

We knew we wanted a fall wedding because summer is too hot and winter is too cold.

I liked the idea of getting married on our anniversary, and it worked out that it's on a Friday!

We started looking 15 months out and wanted an april wedding. There was only 2 fridays left in april at that time and one was good friday so we picked the other.
