How did you get home after the wedding?

I'm lame and live in the middle of nowhere so I'm planning on driving my Jeep back.

However, it would depend what you are into. I've seen people borrow their grandfather's classic car and drive that back. I've also seen (in Chi town) people being driven by horse/buggy.

We drove DH's car home. We had a 2 1/2 hour drive, but it wasn't too bad, and it was nice having the time to reflect together at the end of our beautiful day.

We left in my Jeep and drove to the hotel. Our backup plan was Uber in case neither of us could drive.

We stayed in a hotel the night of our wedding, but used DH's car to get there and then home the next day. We didn't rent a different car to leave the reception.

Fortunately our venue was our hotel, so we happily stumbled to our room at about 3 AM

As of right now FH's grandfather might be driving us to our hotel. Some of my family will be staying at our apartment with our boys & we don't want to drive after having any drinks. Plus it will be a great exit since his grandfather has several old cars we can choose from

We are leaving in a horse and carriage to our hotel which is about 2 blocks from our venue.

There is a parking garage by the venue I plan on leaving the car at, so noone has to drive. With a open bar, I really hope noone drives back to the hotel after the wedding! I always worry about people getting into accidents and DUIs and such.

DH drove us home. We couldn't justify the expense of a hotel room when we live 45 minutes away. Plus then I didn't have to pack anything.

We'll probably be taking an uber also! I don't want to schedule anything because I don't want us to be tied down in case we want to go out after with guests!

H drove us home. We had the same issue with minimum requirements on rentals.

Our wedding night hotel is an approximate 2 minute walk from our reception venue. Yay, downtown weddings!

We drove the 3 blocks from venue to hotel. I wasn't having anything to do with walking through downtown in my wedding dress and heals.

We have rented a shuttle van for our guests, so we will probably hop on that as well. Otherwise, a cab or uber.

We were staying on site of our venue at a house we rented, so we just drove a golf cart But if our venue had been closer to the city we definitely would have used Uber since it's cheaper!

In our 2009 Mazda 6. We're fancy like that.

We had a limo all day, they dropped us off at the after party and we took a cab home from there.

I hopped in H's Civic!

I drove my car home. Our venue was 15-20 minutes from our house so I couldn't see spending extra money for transportation just to get home. I left my car at the venue the morning of the wedding and drove home at night.
