I really love England and British culture, and we had talked about that on the dating app a little bit. He lived there when he was a kid, so we had that to talk about over dinner, and it was just a cool little bit of proof that he had really listened to what I said during our marathon message swaps. His mom gave us the map, and we're going to frame it and put it on display at our wedding

Well we met when we were three and in preschool, went to school together through high school, never dated and 49 years later, when were both 52, we got married! Not sure of the exact moment - we like to take things slow, lol!!! Maybe when he saw me at my worst and did not bail?

I was pretty freaking stoked about my husband within a few months of us dating. But we had some issues early on and I told him that I needed him to go to therapy to learn how to communicate better and deal with stress... and he did! When he proved to me that he was dedicated to growing as a person (and working to make our relationship stronger), and that I wouldn't have to do all the emotional labor in our relationship, I was truly sold.
