How did you meet your husband?

We met through our college radio station! I was a sophomore, he was a junior. I was the director of entertainment news, and he was just joining. He wanted to be part of the music department... ended up joining entertainment news because he wanted to spend time with me 😂

On a staircase. Lol I was walking down the staircase & I guess he noticed me & bc a mutual friend just happened to be there she introduced us. I said hi & kept on my way lol I ran into him again abt a month later & gave him my number.

We met when I was 18. I had just moved into my first apartment with my then husband and he was across one and below a floor from our patio living with his then fiance. I actually met his dog first. I use to sit on our patio and he would pop his head out, wag his little puppy tail, and greet me. When we finally met, we all became friends, and FH and I quickly became best friends. They moved away but we stayed close. About a year later, him and his fiance split. Over the next 2 years we grew closer and I confided in him that my husband had been absusing me. He gave me the courage to come forward and helped me (and My 2 YO daughter) get out of there. He supported me through all of it, and one-day we just admitted to each other that we had feelings for each other. With all that was going on with my ex, we decided to keep it casual and "see what happens". Then things took a turn for the worst when my exes commanding officer told him I had come forward. They put out a restraining order and FH sprung into action and found me a rental out in the woods. Since I was still looking for work, he moved in with my daughter (he has been part of her life since birth) and I to this secluded house. We have been living together ever since and I have never been so happy in my life! My ex is in jail, FH and I had two more daughters together, and he patiently waited four years for me to be ready to be married again. He is my best friend and my knight in shining armor and I couldn't have asked for a better life for my children and I. He is the love of my life and I am so excited to finally become his wife.

We met in passing at a night club once 10 years ago. I was talking to another man, and he tried to swoop in. Lol He reached out to me on MySpace a few year later 8 years ago. We have been together ever since. Will be married 8/25/18

View Quoted Comment This is almost like mine! I went dancing on a Saturday night with my roommate to celebrate my first new car purchase. FH came over and asked me to dance. Told me later that evening that he was just looking for a dance partner, but obviously I won him over!

Sorry it posted while I was typing! We met on a dating app called bumble. We had both been talked into joining the app by other single friends who didn't want to join it alone. I matched with FH the first day I was on the app. We were both each other's first bumble date!

We met working at a bookstore. He was the veteran and I was the newbie trying to learn the ropes. We dated long distance for a year while I was in grad school. We ended up breaking up and then getting back together a couple years later. Been back together over a year and getting married in 2019!

My mom and FHs grandma we best friends since I was in elementary school plus I played with his little sister, he's five years older so he was already in middle School. We used to hang out at his grandmothers all the time after school but I couldn't stand his guts! Lol I thought he was thuggish and stuck up (we come from a rough neighborhood in New York). He never cared to interact with me and vice versa as he was in his rebellious teen years. My mom passed and I had to move to another borough with my dad and we lost touch (about 12 years). One day I posted a black and white candid on Facebook and his grandma shared the post instead of liking it and he asked her who I was. She went down memory lane for him (he told me this) and he ended up messaging me because he couldn't believe it was me. He wasn't as bad as I thought lol we became good friends, we both were in terrible relationships at the time, we eventually became single but I wasn't ready to date and plus he was already living in Florida and I was still in NY in college. I refused a long distance relationship especially because someone who lived 45 mins away from me was cheating on me so what made him thousands of miles away any different? I ignored him after he confessed he liked me but his perseverance and persistence is what made me realize there was something special about him. Including he always kept his conversations clean and not what he can get out of talking to me but learning about me now as an adult. We dated two years long distance, I moved to Florida December 2016 and we are getting married June 2019!

Oh my gosh, time to show my Geek.

I met FH in high school. I was a senior, he was a junior (we're the same age, he moved here from a different country when he was 9, so they held him back a year).

We had an art teacher that LOVED Doctor Who, and wanted to start an after school DW Club, where we talked about fan theories, worked on fan art, and watched episodes. It was the year of the shows 50th Anniversary, and we had a huge party and everything.

Anyway, I was the president of this club, and formed the High Counsel of the Time Lords (friends of mine that I recruited to help me run the club and pass out flyers). I had this super cute boy in my sociology class (FH), and basically shoved a flyer in his face saying he would have the best time of his life at this new club that I was in charge of, and he ACTUALLY SHOWED UP. We've been together ever since.

So yeah, Doctor Who Club. We're nerds.
