How did you or will you decorate your Wedding Arch?

Melissa, on September 15, 2013 at 9:20 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

I got one of those pre-lit wedding arches that you see in Michaels but got mine off of Craigslist from another bride selling hers for just $10. Now I'm trying to figure out how to decorate it. I was going to use tulle, silk fucshia gerbera daisies and ivy I think. Just hard to decide how much to buy. I don't want to go over board but don't want it to be under decorated as well. I've been scanning Pinterest as well.

Post your inspirations, ideas & pics or if you already got married, show me what they looked like Smiley smile

I bought one of those arches from Michaels years ago. I also purchased a bolt of white tulle and 2 long garlands of white flowers (each about the height of the arch). The arch can be assembled in 2 halves (connecting at the top). So, I decorated each half separately so it could be transported. When fastened at the top, the decor was also seamless.

We're having a fall themed wedding so I bought this garland to decorate the arch with. The arch is the typical white arch you see everywhere. Got it on amazon for $30 or $40

We're having our florist decorate the top of it with a bunch of flowers.

Nice to know it can be assembled in halves, Nancy. I was wondering where I was going to put it together and how to decorate it. Glad I can basically do it at home and then transport it over the night before.

We have a fall theme as well. I went to Michael's and Hobby Lobby and bought autumn leaves garland and mixed in some silk flowers like orange and yellow mums as well as sunflowers. It looks awesome! We've out done ourselves this time!

I wanted an arch so badly!! So bad, that I was researching ways that FH could make one! Lol. Everyone was so against it, and the planner thought it would take away from our beautiful view from the ceremong. Our ceremong is right on the beach. Everyone said the ocean would be enough and no arch would be needed!

I've seen many beach weddings on TV that have arches or random pics online.

I bought garland that is a vine with orange tropical flowers and leaves that I found at Big Lots. I had to buy about 6 of them to reach over the whole arch. I then bought fuchsia tulle and weaved it through all throughout. My colors are fuchsia and orange, and the theme is tropical so this was a cheap DIY ceremony decoration that still looks really nice. My ceremony venue already has hooks on the corners that I can just drape it over easily.
