Sarah, on September 20, 2016 at 11:15 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 11

Looking to spend $5000 or less at a Sandals resort including airfare! Open to all resorts, just overwhelmed by all the options and room categories. Help!

A travel agent is your best bet to weed

Thru all the choices. We are doing Sandals/St Lucia in your price range.

Sandals Ochi is the least expensive resort. We looked at doing our wedding there. That is easily within your budget.

Go with a lower priced room?

We want to go to St. Lucia and the airfare is about $1200 total. That would leave $3800 for a room. They definitely had rooms on the lower end of the spectrum for close to that. But you aren't gonna get an ocean view room in the best location at the resort. It'll probably be a smaller room with a garden view. But if you are people who aren't in your room except to sleep that might be okay!

Hurricane season, prices are always lower. Also, talk to a Sandals Customer Service Rep and they will be able to go through all of your options with you. That is what I and DH did, and we booked a butler suite for a little over what you want to spend. We go on Friday!

It depends on the resort you choose and also where you're flying in from. I'm flying from Washington state and the tickets are pricey.

I agree with pp that which room you choose will be a big help for you price wise. Good luck and congrats!

I would ask a travel agent. We used one to book our honeymoon and it didn't cost us anything to have them plan. It was so stressfree.

I booked Sandals including airfare for $5900. And we got a really nice room. We also are going to Antigua which is one of the more expensive resorts. Jamaica is always less expensive and do not book your flights thru Sandals! They're always cheaper when you by them yourself

We're going to sandals in St. Lucia at Halcyon Beach. We're spending $5,500 on a week including airfare. Leaving on Tuesday saved us $1000. We are also staying at the concierge level which was more expensive. If you go for the more basic rooms and be flexible on your dates, it is doable!

We booked our honeymoon directly through the Sandals website. We purchased the hotel and airfare together for $3500 total. Wait until they are having a sale. We got ours during a 65% off sale. They have those every few months. Also, make sure to contact the resort and let them know that you will be on your honeymoon. We purchased the cheapest room but were upgraded for free to an ocean view room. We had the best time.
