How Do you Feel About Glasses?

I just bought new glasses with my wedding in mind. I was going to get lighter colored ones just for the wedding but it seemed impractical because I will have to wear them for two years. I’m not a good candidate for contacts. The lady at the optometrist said if I want I could probably go without glasses just fine, things will just be a little blurry far away. I just wondered what other people thought about glasses. I figure I can always take them on and off so I have photos with both, but I want to see my groom’s face when I walk down the aisle!

I would wear contacts as glasses are at risk of becoming dated and out of style. Good luck!

My personal choice would be to not wear glasses. You are spending all this money on a nice dress, hair, and makeup. I would not want to mask that with glasses. Also, I would fear they might cause a glare in photos. Hopefully your photographer could prevent that, but you never know. It is just one day! I would try to wear contact, or try going without them.

They do look good on you though for everyday wear!

I feel like if you wear glasses on a regular basis, then it's kind of weird to not have them on for your wedding. Your glasses are a part of what makes you, you! But if you regularly switch between glasses and contacts I think you should go with whatever you feel comfortable with.

I don't wear glasses but my FH does and he'll be wearing them for the wedding. He recently got new frames too and was specifically thinking of the wedding/photos when he got them.

Glasses become a part of your face, so you should totally embrace your glasses day-of. And your wedding day of all days, everything should be in focus! I recently went to a wedding where my friend got a special prescription pair with ivory rims. She said she found a site where they were super cheap (like <$5). DM me if that is interesting to you. I will probably wear my day-to-day glasses because my FH thinks I don't look like "myself" without them Smiley heart

I like those. If it were me and I HAD to wear my glasses, I would opt for a clear frame just to flow with my wedding dress.

Wear your glasses. Even if you take them off for pictures, wear your glasses down the aisle and during the reception. This is YOUR day and YOU need to be comfortable. Also going without your glasses has the potential to give you a headache which could really ruin your day. Also everyone there is there to celebrate you and your love! They are all likely used to seeing you with your glasses and will find it weird to see you without them.

I'll wear contacts but if I really had to I would wear glasses over being blind. I would NOT go blind down the aisle. I want to see everyone and remember the moment! I vote for the glasses!

I've seen plenty of brides wear glasses on their wedding day, and when it's part of their daily ensemble, it's strange to see someone without them. I think your classes are adorable and the colors bring out your eyes.

I couldn't agree with this more...I have been debating if I will wear mine or not. When I take them off I feel like I am not myself. Even looking back at old pictures when I did not have them it seems weird to see my face without them. Also, I enjoy seeing...so there's that too Smiley xd

You glasses look great! I say wear them Smiley smile I have terrible eyesight, and if I can't get more contacts before the wedding, I'll be stuck wearing my glasses. If I don't have SOMETHING the whole world is a giant blur, and I wouldn't be able to enjoy my wedding like that.

It's your wedding. You should still look like you. I have worn glasses for 26 years and I'll be damned if I am forcing myself to wear contacts just "because its my wedding day". News flash people...Women wear glasses...women wear makeup...and guess what!? You can wear makeup and glasses at the same time and still be freaking beautiful. I'm so tired of people trying to make other people feel like less of a person just because they are different. Eff that! Rock your glasses! You will look amazing!!!

I love yours! I had the same issue with needing a pair for the wedding. I got mine from eye buy direct only 30$. Figured if they don't work out they have plenty others less then 50 on the site.
