How do you imagine your first anniversary?

Marina, on January 24, 2020 at 3:16 AM Posted in Married Life 0 18

I bet anyone of us had some thought of what the first anniversary would be like. I think about planning a long trip to the mountains, we both love skiing. What are your dreams and ideas??

I want us to go to Montana during the winter and stay on a ranch with a log cabin! It would be super romantic and we're Floridan's so we don't see snow very often!

He may be deployed still so I probably will take a weekend trip by myself or with a baby if we already have one. Basically do something fun and not just sit and be sad all day. Lol

We won't be doing anything big. They are currently starting to schedule work for that month and he is saying it is going to be extremely busy, meaning crazy long hours. I'm just hoping I actually see him on the day and maybe we can go for dinner at the restaurant we held our reception.

Oh, I don't think we will be doing anything big, our wedding won't be the biggest event in the world either. Guess we will be about cuddling while re-watching all of our wedding pictures. The photographer also promised to make a video slideshow via some Smartshow program, so I hope it will come out like a little movie. And a glass of wine of course! Or two Smiley smile

I would love to spend our first anniversary the same way we spend every day. Happy just being with one another. I've never been one to fuss over anniversaries as fiance has terrible memory for these things, but with that being said, he treats me like every day is an anniversary so I cant complain. I know it sounds so cliche but that's truly how I want to spend our first anniversary, just together in our home.❤

We had discussed doing our actual honeymoon on our 1 year anniversary. Now I'm not so sure! By the time it rolls around in May our little girl will be ~3 months old H probably wont have vacation time left once his paternity leave is over.

We plan to go back to where we were married in Florida for a long weekend. We got married at a gorgeous resort in Orlando but I didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities because I was at my bachelorette party/getting ready for our wedding! So we're planning on heading back and enjoying some of the theme parks, Disney Springs and the resort activities.

We have already been discussing this, even though our 1 year anniversary isn’t for another 9 months lol. We thought about going to the mountains, but we got married in the mountains, so now we are talking about switching it up a little and doing something different Smiley catface . Either way, we will be talking a trip somewhere!

Since we are having a destination wedding we have decided to postpone our honeymoon til our 1 year anniversary. As of now, we are planning on either going to Universal Studios in Florida for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (huge HP need here lol), or else traveling up the West Coast for 10 days.

We’re thinking about going to Montreal! We want to go somewhere new but I hate flying lol. Montreal is a 6 hour drive from us and I hear it has a similar vibe to Europe so I think that’s going to be our perfect place to check out 😂

Though we’ll probably end up going and actually celebrating the week before our actual anniversary... we got married the week after Memorial Day so it’d be nice to take the trip a week early and get to take advantage of the extra day off without having to take a PTO day 😁 will probably do something simple like dinner and watching our video on our ACTUAL anniversary

I think we will be going on a honeymoon for our 1 year anniversary! We plan to have a smaller road trip honeymoon after the big day, but we want to save up more money so we can fly somewhere further away on our anniversary.

Haven't really thought about it much yet. But our anniversary falls on Labor Day this year so with the long weekend maybe we'll go camping or something.

We did an overnighter to a cabin in our local mountains. It was so peaceful! Through AirBnB we got one with an outdoor hot tub, indoor fireplace and full kitchen. No TV. We enjoyed walking around the local town then relaxing in the evening with board games.

When I read the title, my first thought was "pregnant" I didnt even know I wanted that; how telling! But also really want to enjoy each other for five more years first.

We've never really celebrated our anniversaries before, and we also have never once celebrated Valentine's Day so this wedding will be our most romantic Valentine's Day ever!! I did promise him that we could continue to celebrate our anniversary the same way we always have: we forget about it and then remember later when we're watching TV on the couch and say, "Oh. Happy anniversary" and then move on. LOL. Sometimes I wish he was more romantic, but honestly, if he were then he wouldn't be who he is and I probably wouldn't love him as much. But *maybe* we'll get away with doing a small getaway or something. Who knows.

I honestly cannot believe how fast time flies by. I feel like we just got married yesterday and we're only 2 months away from our 1st anniversary. We were originally going out for dinner but i stumbled across a great offer to Punta Cana and couldn't let it pass. I'm so pumped already lol and a long trip to the mountains sounds like paradise Smiley smile

Our reception venue was at a nice resort, so we have considered booking a weekend there to enjoy the pool and other amenities!
