How do you keep your wedding dress before wedding?

I kept it in a garment bag in a dark closet and it was fine

I have had mine for almost a year now and it is in a nice garment bag in my moms spare closet kept away from any light. I sneak a peek once in a while while I am over there but otherwise it’s tucked away.

I have it in a nice garment bag tucked away in the closet we use the least so it won’t get disturbed. As long as you have it in the bag it shouldn’t be a problem

I kept mine in the garment bag in a closet for 15 months before the wedding AND then 6 months after the wedding. It was fine!

When I got my dress in the mail, the instructions said to leave it in the garment bag in a dark room so that's what I've been doing. I also imagine keeping it away from moisture it probably a good idea too.

I got mine in October 2019 and I have it in the garment bag in my spare bedroom closet. I open the bag every once in a while to look at it - lol. So far it is doing fine!

Mine is a garment back in the scary closet in my parents' basement. It's been there since the beginning of November and no problems yet!

Another vote for a garment bag in a dark closet. I bought my garment bag on Amazon and I’m using a closet in one of my parents’ guest rooms.

I don't have a spare closet so it's in my closet in its garment bag under a blanket so FH can't see it! I got it in December and will take it to get alteration quotes this week! So far it's done fine I think.

My seamstress will give me the dress the day before the wedding. She'll have it in its garment bag and then she told me to just take it out of the bag and hang it up somewhere safe when I get home so that it can "breathe" and remain fluffy since she steams it before I pick it up!
