We have been working really hard to limit spending and save the budgeted amount each month, but I have been doing side jobs to make extra money for the wedding. I babysit a few evenings a month, and I am doing some data entry for a family friend's business when I have free time. Usually it helps me earn a couple hundred extra dollars a month, which goes a long way.

How are you making extra money for your wedding? Odd jobs? Selling your unused stuff? I'd love to hear about it!

I am going back to work in july/august and 1/2 my paycheck will go to wedding fun 1/2 will go to our checking account for bills or whatever. We made sure we could survive and have a little left every month on one income so as long as the house we buy isn't stupidly expensive every month we'll beable to save a good amount every month. Luckily we have over a year left and almost all the big stuff is paid off.

Online surveys. Ebates for any online purchases I can do through that site to get the cash back. My paypal has a MC that I earn cash back and rewards points. Picking up extra shifts at work when i can. Cleaning out the basement and closets and getting ready for a big yard sale the first weekend of May. And, saving change...coins...every single penny. Every couple days i clean out the console in the car, my purse, change laying around the house, coins I find on the ground, any and all of it. I throw it in a jar and every couple months I roll it and take it to the bank and deposit into the account when I'm sending out a payment for anything wedding. It adds up faster than you'd think. I have about $80 in change ready to deposit now.

OH,,,and coupons. I also got the community business coupon book for $20. It has coupons for 6 free tanning sessions at local salons, a couple free manicures, a free facial, ...just those More than paid for the price of the book. Plus the coupons for BOGO free meals we use to eat out, although we eat out a LOT less than we use to, to save $$$ till the wedding is paid for.

I was also going to add coupons. I got a Sunday only subscription through Groupon (saving more money) for the weekly coupons. I'm also signed up for manufacturer coupons for brands we buy often and I check coupons.com before we shop. Nothing as major as the TLC ladies, but it adds up.

Selling all my good stuff on eBay. It makes me kind of sad but I know it will be worth it and I am cleaning out my closet at the same time.

If you are in ontario you throw a jack and jill party and raffel a bunch of stuff, and have a cheap bar and 50/50 draw

My cousins in ON had a jack and jill party. I'd never heard of it before. Is it something exclusive to that province only, or do other provinces in Canada do the same? My mom is from another province and she'd never heard of it before either.

I'm working a little harder on my eBay business.

FH gets nice chunks of change after a fight so we'll hide some away strictly for the wedding.

I'm from Alberta and never heard of the Jack and Jill party prior to joining WW. I think it's an Ontario and some of the eastern US states thing.

You can also turn in your bottle/cans/etc for money back.

I am working on rewards thru my credit card as well (@fluffy)

it's amazing - bills i pay anyway (oil for the home, gas + groceries) really add up in cashback bonus!

you just have to be diligent with your budget

    also taxes, etc to wedding!

And don't forget odd jobs, if you can -- pet sitting for neighbors, baby sitting, doing yard work... It's not just for kids/teens anymore.

For the past year I have been doing surveys for different companies ( Pinecone Research), it only pays $3.00 a survey but it goes into Paypal and I just leave it there and transfer it when it gets around $50 or so. I also started using Swagbucks about a year ago. At first I was getting Amazon gift cards ( have about $600 in my Amazon account), then they changed their point system and started going the Paypal route since I can use the cash anywhere. The surveys are easy and there are different ways of watching videos to get points. I was skeptical about this at first but I can say that it works and have all my co workers hooked on it. http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/Susanstephen

I have also done a few listener studies that pay less than $100 each but still easy free $ that only requires a few hours of time. I have also started listening to the radio more ( they do text giveaways for concert tix) and then I turn around and sell the tickets on craigslist.

We took money out of my FH 401k... He has had it since he was 20 so he had a nice amount already in it... It's a horrible choice but we did it

I used my tax return to buy dress. My FH is also saving his tax return for the wedding.
