Hi all. I was discussing this with my friend yesterday and even though my day was magical tropical storm did put a little damper in dining plans. I was thinking to either do something new for our anniversary or kind of a re-do. Visit the same restaurant but sit outdoors weather pending and maybe even stay in the same hotel we stayed the night in and visit their roof top bar. What did you ladies do for your anniversary or what would you want to do?

    Ours was mid-pandemic.

My dad wanted to treat us to something nice, so we went out to dinner and my dad covered the bill from afar.

...He laughed at us, though, because we didn't have a very expensive dinner!

At the time, numbers were low, and outdoor dining was allowed in NJ, but our favorite "fancy" place didn't survive the shutdown. We went to a different restaurant, instead - and we both just had pasta dishes that are a little harder to make at home than DH can usually manage.

We had our anniversary cake at home, so we didn't even order dessert. Instead, we went home and watched some of our favorite TV shows and ate cake!

We both just got our designations for the vaccine, though, so maybe we can do something extra special for our 2nd! (He's considered an essential worker, and I have a cool scar on my lungs, so... we get bumped up to part of the early phases.)

I still think it is nice you were able to do something and it still sounds super sweet. Funny I am a teacher so they are encouraging us to get the vaccine but I am not touching it with a ten foot pole until I see how it plays out lol. Not that I am anti vaccine but I am not going to be one of the ones first in line either ha ha.

Yess! He bakes because he's good at following precise instructions. I cook because I wing it. It works out in the end lol.
