How do you prevent creases from forehead wrinkles?

Nicole, on June 4, 2019 at 7:36 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7

I never wear face makeup.... except for my wedding I will have to. I noticed (because I am one of many constant changing expressions) that my forehead wrinkles were very prominent with the face makeup on and I looked like a grandma. Is there a trick to looking like my face is botoxed out all night? Thanks ladies lol

A primer will help but no there’s nothing that will make it look like you don’t have wrinkles.

I’m pretty sure the only thing that will make your forehead look botoxed is Botox.

Yup. As a 40+ something bride I bit the bullet and did it. Just a small amount about 6 months before. It did help but does feel like a tight sunburn & headache for a day or so.

I'm getting botox in my forehead in a few weeks (about a month before our wedding). I've done it a few times, it really helps with my wrinkles between my eyes (I always forget to wear sunglasses) and a few in my forehead. My mom does the same thing pretty frequently and so does one of my bridesmaids, they both look super beautiful & very natural, not the crazy botox look. I'd plan on wearing a primer and using a wrinkle cream nightly leading up to the wedding too.

I wont do botox lol, its just that the wrinkles dont really show until I put on the face makeup.... but the face makeup makes photos more pretty lol

Okay so none of this was makeup techniques so I will share my techniques since that's what you asked!! When I apply my foundation I used a brush then I pounce it in with a sponge. Next I apply my concealer. Typically I do not put more concealer over my one prominent wrinkle line though. But once I am ready to set my concealer I set my t-zone and my forehead the same way. I use a sponge (wet or dry - I use a dry sponge most times) and I press the powder in. Before I set my forehead where the wrinkle is I pounce back over it with my damp sponge so it's blended nice and didn't re-crease, then go in and press the powder in well. Additionally, setting spray is your friend! My forehead wrinkle is predominantly from putting on makeup and continuously lifting my brow to put my eyeshadow on (it's a bad habit). I don't know how well this will work for you, but you could give it a shot!!
