How do you wear your rings?

When we get married I'll wear the band then the e-ring.

A friend told me that adding another band on top of the e-ring "closes off" the e ring and signifies that you are married with children. I'd never heard that before she told me that and haven't heard of it since but thought it was interesting.

I'll be wearing my band on the bottom just because it looks better that way. No preference otherwise. My fiancee on the other hand will be wearing her band on top I think, again just because it looks better. I've definitely heard traditional sayings for both ways, but I really feel like it just comes down to personal preference. And once I start wearing mine one way, I'll probably never change it just because it'll feel so awkward.

I wear mine with the ering first because of both reasons listed by @Stephannie and @Michelle. My wedding band disappears behind my ering if I have it the traditional way. Plus I like the wedding band 'locking' in the ering that came first.

Your supposed to were your band first. It's close to your heart than your ring but I say it's yours wear it how you please

Mine is really two fused bands that the engagement ring fits inside. So I don't have to decide.

Oh my, my mom had a real problem with this. I will be wearing e-ring first and then wedding band. Like many pps my wedding band is curved in a v to fit against my e-ring and the v shape just looks better (and is less likely to get caught on something) pointed down the finger in my opinion.

@Kristin, I'm glad you said your mom had a problem with this, I feel like that's where my question stemmed from... I was just TOLD by my mother how to wear my rings, and fortunately for my set, it works band/e-ring... Maybe it's their old fashioned mindset that it can only be one way.
