How does my hair look? My mom hates it!

I think your mother is wrong. I agree with you that with the style dresses you will be wearing you should wear your hair up. Your dresses are beautiful and the hairstyle you chose is, to me, quite simple and perfect. It doesn't compete with your dresses, which is how it should be.

Wear your hair the way you want to wear it. Your wedding day is about feeling like the most beautiful you.

This hair looks great! Especially since it's what you envision on your big day! Only you have to wear your hair on your head, just remember that. AND your dresses are gorgeous!

Either the top knot you have, or a chignon ( bun at nape of neck) are ideal with your gown, I think. Go with it ! If you want to keep the topknot but have it be a little softer, less severe, after pulling the hair into a ponytail on top, clip off ( separate) 4-6 sections and make multiple braids, then make the braids into the top knot. Try either way, but I like it as is, and like the hair jewelry you have chosen, too.

I think the hair is beautiful, especially with a ball gown! I’m still torn between wearing mine up or down, one of my bridesmaids was saying she doesn’t think down looks formal enough and that I look much better with it up but in a loose updo. When I told my grandma that she said it was a mistake to tie back my beautiful hair and said that my loose updo inspiration looked messy and I’d regret it.

Point is, you can’t please everyone! If you feel good about how it looks then you do it!

First of all your dress are gorgeous, I love both looks!! I think that your hair looks perfect and would be so beautiful on your wedding day. It's a very elegant style and definitely not harsh, a style like this really shows off your face and isn't too much with your ball gown!
