How does my hair look? My mom hates it!

I originally thought I wanted a fit and flare lace dress in which case I would have worn my hair down with big waves and half pinned up by my ear. I originally thought I wanted a fit and flare lace dress in which case I would have worn my hair down with big waves and half pinned up by my ear.
Well I ended up getting a ball gown and I felt like that romantic look didn't suit the dress. Here is a pic of my hair trial, the inspiration pic (it'll look more perfect day of), my ceremony dress (ball gown), and the dress I'll change into during the reception.
What do y'all think? My mom hates it and says it looks too harsh and serious.

    Alexandria, I think your hair looks amazing!! I think it will look great with both of your wedding looks, which by the way I LOVE!! I don't think it looks harsh at all! It all comes down to how you feel, so if you feel beautiful then go for it!!!

    I disagree with your mother! I'm in love with that hair style. PLUS as much as you want your mother approval YOUR special day and how YOURE gonna remember it for the rest of your life. Do what you want no matter how upset it might make some people. It's all about you girl!

    I love this very sleek & elegant updo! The loose updo or half-up is in but also over-done so why not rock a more unique look? It’s so classy on you & with both dresses. If YOU want it, do it. 👍
