How early did you do your hair trial?

Sandra, on January 18, 2018 at 8:49 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 13
I'm not sure my hair stylist will be able to do what I want, per a comment she made to me last time we spoke... so I want to be sure I have time to find someone else who isn't booked. Just wondering how far out everyone did their hair trials?

I am 4 months from my wedding, I had a hard time finding a place that was open for my day, finally found one and booked her. I was thinking about doing the trial maybe a month or two before my wedding

I had mine done last weekend so a little more than 5 months before. I actually booked them almost a year ago because they are very popular in my area, I loved their work at my friends wedding, and it was one less thing to worry about. I think you can do it whenever you want, as long as you’re not planning to drastically change your hair between now and your wedding date

She said she wasn't sure she would remember how to do victory rolls, and that is ALL I want on my head. Victory rolls everywhere.

lol that's a bit of an overstatement but I just really want some fancy victory rolls. last time i had a stylist who wasnt sure how to do victory rolls try to do them for me i wound up with straight up curls pinned to my head.... not quite victory roll'd. :/ so i'm a little concerned..

Definitely just went to google “victory rolls” haha if you have concerns, then have her try it on you anytime. If she can donit, great! If not, then find someone who can and get em booked!!

I booked my hair and makeup trial a month before my wedding. But if your not sure if your stylist is able to achieve the look you want I would book soon or look for someone else.

My wedding is in December and my girl said summer- October to schedule the trial Smiley smile that may be a little later than most but I knew exactly what I wanted and have to add more extensions to do the style.

I agree with amber. Maybe give her a shot and if it doesn't work start looking but I agree with booking the stylists in advance even before the trial. They book quick!

Hey I'm a hair stylist .. and I want to say .. I can't pull off victory rolls but they are gorgeous .. I think it takes a special stylist to achieve the look to perfection .. it's not everyday somebody request them .. id reccomend going to a more alternative salon . ..

My salon told me to.go in at least 2 months in advance, but I think im going in 5 months in advance because I want to make sure I like it and if I don't then i have time to reschedule with someone else.

I know she can do anything with hair, I am just unsure about makeup. I don't wear much makeup to begin with so I am just nervous about that in general.

I reached out to 3 different places and did a trial at one of them in September (my wedding is May 5). I didn’t want to book someone then have my trial and hate it and not be able to book someone else or pay cancellation fees.
