How early should you get to the ceremony?

Maria, on April 22, 2019 at 10:51 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
How early should I get to the church before the ceremony starts? The ceremony is at 2 and we are getting ready at my moms house, which is about 20 minutes from the church. Trying to decide what time to have the limo driver pick us up. I’m thinking if we leave by 1, we should be good? But now I’m wondering if we should leave a little earlier like 12:30? TIA!

Will you need to do anything once you get to the church? If you're ready to walk down the aisle when you leave your mom's house, I would think later is better - you'll be more comfortable waiting there than you would be at the church, unless there's a specific place there where you can wait comfortably. I arrived at the church five minutes before the ceremony was due to start - it would have been fifteen but we parked around the corner and waited for a bit so I wasn't too early (while guests were still arriving). It worked out perfectly - by the time I'd got out, sorted my train out, found the pageboys and flower girl and got them sorted to walk down the aisle, it was go-time.

I would leave earlier then 1 cause you will want to take a breath and stuff. Plus you will be getting there at same time as your guest so they will see you. A lot of people show up to wedding half hour early.

If you get there at 1:15 ish guests will definitely see you before. Earlier is better.

You should probably get before one so you can relax a bit and your guests will not see you.
