How early to start making "plan B"?

My wedding is in May 2021 (not rescheduled) and while I am hopeful that things will be safe before then I am wondering at what point people will start contacting venues and making alternate plans. Our guest list is about 280 and I have 175 save the dates sitting in my apartment but don't want to send them until I know I will be able to have the guests attend. Is anyone else for spring 2021 starting to think of backup plans and what their timelines will be?

My wedding is in June 2021. We decided to push our honeymoon back a year due to money and international travel safety. In regards to our wedding, we're hoping that things get back to normal. We discussed a plan B a few months back, but are not making any decisions until January. Hope this vaccine is a good one.

Thank you! We actually got married earlier this month and it was perfect! I'm so glad we thought about our options as soon as we did and I'm sure we'll be happy with our reception whether it happens in 2021 or not.

I think everything is going to be just fine in 21. Actually I have attended and saw on insta weddings that look 100 percent pre covid. I
