How far ahead do i look to book the shower?

My mom and MOHs are on it but when is the appropriate time to book a venue or plan on setting a date for the shower? How many months in advanced should we book it and how close to the wedding should it be? My date is 8/8/2020

    People have showers anywhere from the week before to 6 months in advanced. How you book it is up to you.

    It's really up to whatever works best! Mine is next weekend and the wedding is November 2. My sister (MOH) is a grad student about 6 hours away from our hometown, and we wanted to fit in the shower before her fall semester starts. We came up with a list of 5-6 possible dates and picked one based on our VIP guests' availability (my mom, sister, FMIL, and FSILs).

    Whatever works best for you. My mom booked my shower about 2 months before the shower took place, and the shower was 2 months before my wedding.
