How far in advance did you book honeymoon activities?

Monica, on September 21, 2017 at 9:34 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

We are going to Aruba for our honeymoon and I already know I want to do horseback riding, an ATV tour, a massage on the beach somewhere, and a snorkeling tour. Our honeymoon isn't until June 2018, so obviously it's too early to book now but when did you guys get in contact with your concierge to start booking those sorts of activities?

I will prob book 1 month max in advance.

Just want to share something I heard, it may be cheaper to book on site.

    So I may wait.

We aren't doing all inclusive or anything so we will be booking our own activities. we have thought of things we want to do but haven't actually booked anything. we will probably do that next week or when we get there. we don't want to plan out our entire trip so we can just relax and not worry about always having to be somewhere

We're going to Switzerland next spring. I'm not going to book anything until Jan/Feb of 2018.

Following! I am lost. I don't know if I should book things ahead of time if it would be better or cheaper to just book things when we get there??

My honeymoon is in two weeks, and we haven't booked any excursions yet. I'm not sure if we should have or not though. Our travel agent said to wait until we get there so we can better plan around the weather, like so we don't plan a whole day excursion when it's supposed to rain.

I'm following so I can find out if I should book next week or when I get there.

We're going to Argentina - Buenos Aires and Patagonia region. I looked up activities but worried about booking ahead of time because we might change our mind, hear about something better, etc. On past vacations, I usually booked while we were there. For Aruba, you should be ok for booking some activities while you're there. It's been 8 or so years since I've been there, but I don't remember having issues booking, but we went in early December, so it could have been off season.

When we booked our activities when we went to Aruba (5 years ago this week. Wahhh) we booked everything at the hotel when we arrived the first day. Actually, one of the aftirives we booked the day before because we last minute decided to do one more thing

Look up on Tripadvisor what tour companies you would like to use if you are not scheduling through the hotel. Have there information with you so you can contact them when you arrive in Aruba. You should be fine booking all of those activities while you are there.

My FH and I went to St. Lucia in May. We didn't book anything ahead of time. We did several island tours, and we went scuba diving.

Our honeymoon plans were changed last minute due to the hurricanes, so we didn't have the option of booking excursions ahead of time. We booked them once we got there. After speaking to other guests/the locals we got a better idea of which excursions were worthwhile. Waiting to book until you get there is also a good idea in regards to weather.

However, it is no harm to book ahead of time! Most of our excursions had a 24-48 hour free cancellation policy so if the weather doesn't look too good, just make sure to cancel ahead of time!
