How hard is it to make veil ??

Jessica, on August 6, 2016 at 7:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

Hey ladies, I am on a tight budget for the wedding. I have seen veils priced from $85 and up. I just want something simple and I've ordered English netting that matches the dress. Has anyone made their own veil? Is it difficult ?

In in the middle of making mine. I did some research on google and YouTube, then cut a big oval the length I want my veil to be. I'm currently using fabric glue to adhere my lace to the edge of the tulle, snipping the lace to let it overlap instead of bunching up on the curves. Once that's finished, I'll fold it over (mine will have two layers), gather the middle a bit, and sew it to a comb. If you wanted ribbon on the edge, you could just pin and sew that in place. Of course, a plain cut edge would be the simplest! But if say that anyone who's reasonably crafty should be able to make a veil without too much trouble. Have fun!

I bought mine off eBay for 3.99 and free shipping. You can get what you want without spending a lot. Only downside is you don't know how it will look on you until it arrives. I figured that 3.99 was worth it if I didn't like it just so I could try it.

I made my own. It was quite simple. I used bridal illusion and purchased the lace from VegasVeils on Etsy. It was time consuming but worth it. I spent $68 I believe.

Etsy has some good ones for not a bad price. I'm getting mine soon and it'll be about $28.

I made mine and it was fairly easy. I found some helpful videos on YouTube to cut the tulle. I hand sewed rhinestones along the edge for some sparkle
