How has covid + Wedding Stress affected your body?

Maddy, on October 5, 2020 at 7:53 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 6
Are any of you guys going through weight gain/loss due to wedding stress due to COVID? My fiancé and I get married in 2 months and now we’re ping ponging between two venues in two different states based on ever-changing restrictions, and since March I’ve dropped 15 pounds and my dress just hangs off me! Plus I’m getting so much acne. Are you guys experiencing weird body stuff during this time?

I have also lost weight. I'm not sure how much because I don't have a scale, but lots of people keep commenting on it - the receptionist in my apartment building, my dentist, friends. I was not overweight at all so it is a bit concerning.

It's weird because I think I started losing it in May - or it at least became noticeable then - and my alterations started in June. I'm definitely not back to my normal weight but I think some may be coming back - I'm just hoping I fit into my dress on Saturday!

I’m an the opposite! I am a stress eater and well covid and wedding planning has been stressful! I’ve gained 10 pounds this year and with only one week left I have barely been sleeping! I hope I still fit into my dress next year for our reception!

Stress yes but weight no. If anything I want to lose a bit more but stress can affect the body in different ways. Mental state there is a lot going on in my mind and life apart from COVID that makes it hard to enjoy this process and fully be happy.

I lost my job right before COVID hit (mass redundancy unrelated to COVID) so due to the lack of jobs available during COVID I literally had nothing to do for about 3-4 months (lockdown) so just ate and ate and ate… 12kgs/25lbs later and I am relieved I postponed my wedding to December 2021 so I have time to lose it all!

Stress and weight gain. But since August, the weight has slowly come off and with 4-days to go, I'm hoping I can shed a few more pounds - yep, very wishful thinking.

However, there was "covid" stress and more stress caused by the ex-wife who just can't keep her mouth shut.

I wish I could lose weight due to stress, maybe my dress would fit better lol

But my head pains have gotten much worse and it starting to mess with my eyesight, I've previously tried to get these pains diagnosed to make sure it's not anything serious affecting me. But due to planning a wedding during COVID I can confirm stress is what triggers them. I'm also having sleepless night. I can't wait until Nov. 7, then the two weeks after to feel a sigh of relief.
